New C class baby S Class? NOT!!

What a toad of a car! Looks like a bunch of eighth graders collaborated on the interior, velcroed a few tablets in place and voila!!!! Really? Is that Mercedes line? A mini me S class? Get a grip!

Personally I like the interior of the new C Class more than that on the W223.

They are all starting to look the same. Baby S or not, doesn't really matter anymore.

Agreed....this will appeal to C-class buyers in their 30's and 40's. But I don't think it's going to appeal to the S-class market in their 50's and up. I bet the refresh in a few years (at least on the S) will bring back several buttons and non-capacitive switches (like on the doors), although the tacked on screens will likely remain and become less cumbersome.

Umm....I was talking about the new styling and tech across the MB line...not S-class buyers wanting C-classes.

The current MB line up for sedans is quickly becoming a Matryoshka doll of cars.
From a distance I can't tell the difference anymore.

Agreed.
That said, this comment has been made for the last decade. I also feel that copying all styling elements, wheels, etc, all the way up and down the MB and AMG product line there is virtually no exclusivity for cars costing 3-4 times that of their smaller siblings.

Wether good or bad, from a business standpoint it makes perfect sense and it works from a marketing perspective. But it's frustrating nonetheless.

I totally agree. And it's not limited to MB either. I think the trend may have started with Audi but any way it's near impossible to tell a 3/5/7, C/E/S or 4/6/8 apart except for the length.

I'm not Russian (God forbid!), had to learn it since it was mandatory in all schools in Commie countries like Poland.

Really? You come on this forum and insult someone’s nationality? My wife is from Sevastopol and is a proud Russian! Take your crap somewhere else please!

Sensitivity has nothing to do with it. Common decency actually. And then you come back and double down on Putin. While you may not care for him many Russians actually do! I met my Russian wife 42 years ago when I was stationed in another Black Sea port, Novorossiysk. Things were pretty crappy for Russians under communist rule. I would respectfully ask that we all not denigrate someone elses nationality, ethnic origin OR politics. This forum is about cars I thought. BTW, I am not Russian, I am from the UK and was attached to a US Navy command.
