any concerns with leasing a CPO 2018 s450?
i have some mildly odd things i’m looking for:
1) i want a luxury brand (loaner car service is important to me)
2) i do a lot of highway commuting and have been eating rock chips like crazy across the windshield and the front fascia. entertaining the idea of a CPO car for the first time ever because i know off the bat it isn’t “pristine” and would increase my frequency of turnover (i typically buy new every three to four years and would like to swap out CPO models every two years)
given this context, would leasing a 2018 CPO s450 ($65k, 25k miles) be a good idea? as i mentioned, i’ve never gone the CPO route before so apprehensive about being sold a massively defective car
Don't worry too much about it. Most S class owners care about their car & at 25,000 miles, no issues should be present.
All preowned vehicle acquisition advice applies. Check carfax, ask if the vehicle has a clean title with no accidents, theft, lemon, etc. check for all service records.
If your intention from the start is to lease with extended warranty coverage though out the lease period, your risk is fairly well managed.

My intention is to lease for 2 years (which will run through the original factory warranty as well as the CPO extended warranty) and then return the car for a new lease. In that way, hopefully the risk will prove to be pretty low.

Have you tried an S560? The V8 car is so magnificent, hard for me to picture driving the six. But that's just my opinion :-)
I had a '18 S450; have an S560 now. The V8 is wonderful and transforms the car into something much more special....but I recognize that not everyone is about the engine, so get the car you love.
Good luck and many happy miles to you.
