Ok I am horrible at linking anything. At MB of South Bay CA they have a S65 with an MSRP of $317,440 I guess its a brand new left over.
It isn't a Maybach. I never saw a S class besides a Maybach cone with a MSRP that high. Custom ordered colors. Makes the $200k S63 gray/red one a steal.

Here you go. It looks like they've got that price pretty jacked up....perhaps because of custom color interior?Originally Posted by DABRONX

In 1984 I have sold (worked in sales at MB dealership) a leftover 1981 240D, Red with Green vinyl interior (no idea how it was possible to spec it that way).
It sat for almost 3 years and supposedly caused severe gagging and a run to the bathroom for many unexpecting customers, until 2 mid 50's ladies came in one day and fell in love with it.
MSRP was about $22k and I got the full price for it, hefty commission and a $3k bonus for getting rid of it .

Hmm. Isn't this an interior that Streamliner would like? Finally not a black dashboard
That said, I can't imagine that the pricing is actually correct. A custom interior will range between $10k - $16k with an added $2500 custom order fee and there is no custom paint on the car...

Perhaps the car has a Canadian car window sticker on it. I vaguely remember building a S65 and loading it with every option and it easily exceeded the cost of a Maybach. My vague memory says I was topping out somewhere around 260 to 270k with every single option you could get.

maybe in a smaller interior like an SL - something intended truly to be sporty... but that’s a whole lot of red. After a few trips I think Id slit my wrist and no one would notice..... “That FOO in there sleep !!!”Originally Posted by hyperion667

I like the red! A dark, rich color that makes a nice change of pace from all those dreary beige and light grays. Probably shows less dirt as well.
Porsche used to have an interior they called "Can-Can" red, and that was outlandish.
