I have the Cplay2air unit in my Pacifica and it works flawlessly. I haven't gotten one for the S560 yet because I drive so much I plug the phone in anyways to charge.

Been trying the car2play one for $199. Having some issues. Awaiting word from Viseeo whether I need to upgrade. After a few days, I still get a black screen sometimes. All I want is a reliable WIRELESS dongle. There has to be one out there. I never experienced these issues with the OEM wireless unit on my 2018 BMW 750. Hoping someone has found a reliable unit.

unfortunately, after trying all the popular suggested wireless carplay dongles they all gave the same issue. the service tech at my local mb dealer told me that there is too much data being transferred for it to properly work all the time via bluetooth on our cars.

If my current dongle from Viseeo does not work after an upgrade, I too will give up on it. I really only use it for waze and since I have the charging. Tray, it is not too much of a bother to connect it to the wired connection befor putting it in the tray. I just wish there was some consistency to the problems with these units.

These don't work over Bluetooth, they work over WiFi.

I saw a 223 at a gas station and I stopped to chat. The owner told me that the sound quality and response time is not as good when wireless. He said he sticks with connected CarPlay. FYI

Wireless carplay uses WiFi not bluetooth, there shouldn't be any difference when using wireless CarPlay.

I just wasted three hours with Viseeo trying to upload the firmware. The entire process was unsuccessful. So, I am returning the dongle via Amazon and will stick to wired CarPlay. I cannot believe what a complete waste of time this process has been. I guess I will wait until there is a more stable solution on the market for a wireless dongle. Makes me want my touchscreen BMW with wireless CarPlay. Kind of a crappy feeling after shelling out what I did in this market for the S coupe.

The final insult to injury. I called up MB customer service to find out if they knew of any dongles that work. After holding for a rep for twenty minutes, the rep said that he only knows about MB products. Well, be the well trained and gifted lawyer that I am, I asked the very complex follow up question——“does MB make any dongles?” He said “no”. Reminds me of an old Woody Allen movie line. Here’s how it goes. “All men are Greek. Socrates was a Greek. Therefore, all men are Socrates.” One would think MB would offer some substantive help. But, in the words of Rosan Rosanadana—— Noooooooooo.

I need to update this post in fairness to Viseeo. They sent me a new, updated Car2play dongle at their expense. After three days of testing, it appears to be working in my car. I guess time will tell but at least, for the moment, I have wireless CarPlay.

Another update. Now, after ten days or so, the unit works sometimes and other times it does not. Finicky at best. Not to be relied on. When needed on a long trip, I will rely on the corded airplay only.

if anyone finds one that works please let the community know.
I have tried the ottocast, Carlinkit 3.0 and the 2022 Loadkey dongles, all purchased from Amazon. With all pretty much the same result. Works for a few days fine maybe a week, and then starts acting up.
