Just took the plunge....2015 S550 with 70k
Was trying to hold out for prices to come back to earth but could not wait any longer so I pulled the trigger on this one. 42k sales price which is about 7k over what it would be normally if I had to guess.
I have some questions about the options though, can't figure out much by doing the vin check. I know it has Burmeister sound, multi contouring seats (is passenger seat like that too?.....that **** is WILD), and it has 20 inch black wheels that come with the $6500 package, but on VIN check it says it has 19's?? I guess owner could have upgraded but they are definitely stock wheels. I know it has the package 1 I think too. But can anyone else decipher what else I have option wise? And anything I should check before driving it off lot I haven't picked it up yet they are detailing it.
Here is the VIN

Pics coming

Your car has the Premium 1 package and Driving Assist package (Distronic Plus, Steering Assist). I did not see any other notable options. Your car does not have the Sports package and it did originally come with 19" wheels; the 20" wheels are custom and if they are black there is a good chance they are aftermarket (Benz only produced them in silver).

"A picture is worth a thousand words." Very good looking car.
You have the Sport package front bumper, which is not original to your car. Those wheels are very nice looking but not from any W222 / S-Class; I believe they are aftermarket if they are 20". Your brake calipers have been painted red (not from the factory).

Don't know if I am a fan of the red on this car we might need to fix that.

Red calipers is an option on the AMG cars from the factory but on the non AMG cars with AMG appearance package you got silver painted calipers.

Congratulations on the new ride, and the best color combination for the Mercedes S-Class! Enjoy your W222. I've been driving a W222 now for over 5 years ( 2 1/2 years with an AMG S63, and my current S560 for 2 1/2 years) and it's the best car I've owned over a 40 year time span. My second favorite is the W221 V12.

Nice to hear from you again Dave We offer capless coverage from Fidelity, Platinum level on similar terms is a mere $23,045. $5,100 for $20k in coverage from Freedom Warranty seems like a pretty good deal to me!

Had to have shocks replaced [rear].Engine runs so well better than new.No electric Gremlins.Of course the fragrance dispenser does not work.too lazy to have it fixed.Such a luxurious highway ride.Got offers to buy but WILL NOT SELL!!.

It's annoying- Every time someone gets a new car you chime in trying to sell them something. Imagine if every time someone posted the other sponsors starting advertising rims and exhausts and various other products? A thread full of advertisements. Thankfully the other sponsors have some respect for members and the forum...

Congrats on the car. The 222 has been a pretty reliable car. If you don't have a transmission shudder you probably never will. The suspension will probably be the first major source of funds for when it eventually has issues. Otherwise it's one off stuff- one car may need dynamic seat work while another car needs a heater fan but it's not saturated with the model. It really depends on how well the car was cared for.
