Navigation maps

I've used https://navi-update.us/ a couple of times for different NTGs, IIRC they are $100.
They are all selling the same, the maps are openly available from MB and the value is in the PIN for the car to actually install it.

Hello and thanks for offering to answer new data map release information questions. I'm attempting to buy/install the latest USB installed version for my 2014 CLS550. So far the only North America version I'm finding on the net is NTG 4.5/4.7 2020-V20. This version is being offered by "mbnavupdate.com" for $149.00.
Thank you.
Thank you.

The point of updating the maps in my view is just to get the Speed Limit Assist database to update as well so that the car knows the speed limit in the absence of a posted sign as I change roads.

Understood and makes sense. However, for me (and I suspect many others) that is a very niche benefit of the updated maps from MB and will likely lag behind reality since these updates are done months in advance and issued well after that. Current speed limits are shown accurately by Google Maps, but of course they won't affect the Active Assist feature in the car.

Usually MB maps get new roads way later than Google Maps does. However I recently visited a new factory that has been operational for a year but their private roads may have been built more recently. My MBUX provided spot on instructions on a new (private area) roundabout while google maps did not recognise any of the new roads.
