I have purchased a 2015 S550 4matic last August from MB dealer. The car had only 23300 ml and one owner, with all services done by MB dealership.
My car has a problem with rear packets on both front seats, they’re stuck in open position.
I have made request to my dealership and they quoted me for $1350 to repair it.
I called to MB USA customers support and finally received the answer : please pay yourself because your car is out of warranty.
I read many posts here with same problem.
I wonder what is my next step should be?
Any advise or suggestions welcome!

My friend’s high mileage (180k) 2014 S550 had the issue in the drivers seat rear pocket. Rather than shell out $$ for the fix, he picked up some adhesive backed Velcro strips, stuck it on the interior of the pockets and called it a day. Pockets aren’t really used and by looking at it you would never know it’s a velcro fix.

I keep in mind that solution, but prefer stay on factory original assembly way. The production on these specific pockets were out of good stand.
I wonder if I can try to accelerate on MB company and get coverage from them instead?

Do you think I can buy new parts and DIY to replace it?
I have done a lot but afraid to damage airbags or other electrical components on the seats.
MB does not offer pocket separately you will need to replace backrest panel of which DIY is straight forward. Depending on color MSRP about $400 - $500 discounted online to $250 - $300. If this is your intent provide VIN I will pull correct Left & right part #s to shop.

While I respect your decision to keep the car original, occasionally even wonderful cars have a very poorly designed part. This is one of those examples. Every car where those pockets were used is loose to the extent it was stretched.
Spending $600 to replace them seems silly when a new piece of elastic could be placed for <$30 and 2 hours or the Velcro options for <$5 and 5 minutes.

I really surprised why owners haven’t made a united claim to MB with this issue?
I understand about 4 years warranty and perhaps some owners used it to fix that pure factory job.

I simply removed my seat backs and tied off the elastic. They only opened about an inch when I was done but I never used them anyway and they snapped shut pretty reliably. Have since sold the car but this little repair held up for the year or so that I had the car with the repair done. Very bad design and I would have installed new elastic if I was going to keep the car long term but it is pretty easy to fix, the biggest challenge is removing and replacing the seat backs.
