If you mean the W223 S 63 (by chance) I believe it is possible to retrofit the luxury grille and to get rid of the panamericana grille, if that is what you are talking about (sorry if I understood you incorrectly)
Oops...Yes, 223 panamericana ...

As has been said “not a fan of the W223”. Will be looking to trade my 2018 S450 for a nice 2020 and then sit and watch what MB does with new models.

I honestly don't really understand why people who are W222 fans dislike the W223 so much. There are some design features I like better about the 222, but by and large they are very similar. I don't feel a need to replace my 222 with a 223, but when the time comes I would absolutely get a 223.

Good to hear. As I also don't care for the screens but would prefer the inline six.

At 52K miles and zero issues, except wearables, I have no intentions of getting rid of it. Car runs flawless to include on ranch roads. I change the oil at 5K not 10K miles and transmission at 50K. Exterior and interior are excellent. At this point, any repairs should be way less than a new set of wheels. Plus I hate the eye diversion screen safety hazards of new cars. But the technology is cute.😁

We keep new vehicles for at least 10+ years, some much longer or until they rust out. This is partially due the fact that I do most the service work myself. This includes but is not limited to air struts, suspension components, air compressors, engine components, drive line components, brakes, fluid flushes, HVAC, exhaust, interior components and more. If I didn't work on them, we'd probably just lease at this stage.

I agree with this sentiment. Very similar cars with slight differences outside and inside. The only problem I see with upgrading to a W223 is the rash of electric / UI glitches and problems I keep reading about on their forum. Those would be extremely frustrating.

Ding! I’ll add to this the TV screen in the middle that replaced so many buttons to control things that work just fine once familiar without taking one’s eyes from the task at hand.... DRIVING the car. That and styling that leaves me cold. I will not drive a video game. Even an expensive one.

The new UI is however better and way more responsive than the old one and I would love to see it backported to our models.

I am not a big fan of "tablet-enabled cars" that tend to be today's mainstay trend, but the consensus is that Mercedes's engineers (generally) have done a good job on that front. The interior style is not too bad in my opinion, though I don't care much about the yacht-like front console.

It is possible but won't come cheap and someone has to figure it out first, for example they can use the facelift A-Class and probably the GLE facelift's screen (if it comes with that MBUX 7.0 system, although very likely) and system as those are horizontal (so aftermarket doesn't have to figure out how to make the layout horizontal again as Mercedes already did that) unlike the new S-Class and new C-Class vertical screen.

Yes, thats another matter.

Why would I care about a V12 when I will never buy a car with a V12? Almost no V12 S Classes were sold, the majority of us have V8s.

And you can get a V12 Maybach in the 223 generation.

That touchscreen interface is just reality, thats not unique to the W223, its everything.

As for styling, the car is very similar looking to the W222...a lot of people can't tell them apart. I've gotten to where I really like it, dare I say the 222 looks a little dated maybe?

It is just so forgettable. The front and rear have no presence. Take the badge off and 99% of people would have no idea what it is.

I just don't see that its that different from the 222...its a little smoother, headlights are a little squint-eyer...

I mean, this is a great looking car...

Similar styles... woah !!!.... body similarity ends at "S"

Its 2014, it is dated !!!..... and still looks better than 99% of whats on the road....including everyones very latest....and especially the 223......

Its been said.... remove the bages and its "any car".... only the "large" factor would identify it as something

In my opinion- that looks about as plain as a car can possibly look. Zero design, presence, lust. It is an aerodynamic vehicle, that is just about the only compliment I can make.

It looks 90% the same as the W222 lol. If I got one the same color none of my neighbors would even notice.

While I do agree with you, it is VERY close to the W222. And I happen to think that while it (the W222) may be plain it is also very good looking.

I'm sure you are right. The other day when we got out of the store my wife went to get into the passenger side of a C63. It was black. It was shiny. It was a Mercedes... Maybe it was wishful thinking on her part. I told that Jeremy Clarkson described it as an axe murderer trying to kill you.

Ya I think so, just the front at this angle and these two pictures you shared, it looks like an evolution or otherwise facelift to the outgoing model.
