Need to have it checked under warranty (or out) could be sensor(s), stepper motor(s), operating unit, etc. pulling codes using Xentry (MB diagnostics).
The air coming out of my vents is either really cold or really hot. Nothing in between works. Could that be a problem with this valve?
Run Xentry diagnostics, it will tell you exactly what the issues is.

apparently the rear one? They haven’t resolved the issue I described yet. They witnessed it but have not figured out why it’s happening. One week later and they still have my car!

heater valve and rear blend door were replaced under warranty , so two issues resolved.

If they have not already done so (as documented on invoice) request: revisit valve/connections/harness (malfunction may not show fault code); Xentry check of all flap positions individually in succession, control unit, sun sensor. All contributing factors to temperature.

Konigstiger - I think it may be the sun sensor. I’ve noticed anomalies when the sun is shining vs when it’s not. How is it accessed and can I test it using a multimeter? I hate when the dealer can’t figure these things and keeps my car for so long. I’d love to fix it myself.
