Little Smokey Smokey after Tune?

What's up everyone

So I just tuned my S550, Ill leave my review for it for another thread so it doesn't spoil this thread.

I took it for a spin I was on it towards the end pretty aggressive and it's most definitely whatever EuroCharged advertises though.

I get home I open the engine bay just too check it out and I had a couple smoke puffs, I tried taking a couple photos but getting the iPhone to get a clear photo in a dark spot it wasn't happening. It's over by the firewall looks like its right from where the O2 sensor is at the exhaust manifold driver side. I did notice which looks to be old maybe some dried up oil on the metal I took a photo of that below. The photo I circled is same metal piece but by the intake more dried up oil maybe.

Im still in the learning phase of this engine im not as familiar with it as my 4.8 in my Cayenne so I bring it to your attention.

Could be an oil leak and also due to the car being so hot any oil that touches part of the engine bay/or hot pipes chances are it will smoke.

Remove top covers, filters and padding for fuel injectors. (Shouldn't be too difficult).

Check for any leaks

Likely an oil leak to the manifold, you should be able to smell it if that's the case.
Inspect engine after it has sat for extended time.

Gonna check it out in the morning since it’s getting dark now.

if it is indeed an oil leak at the manifold which my first impression thought the same. What am i going to be doing to fix this if it needs fixing.

im building up a list of things for my Indy Mechanic to do (ATF Flush, Camshaft sensors, Cam solenoid with “sacrificial,” harness, maybe spark plugs and coils (53,xxx) miles so on the fence

Looks like you've got a little oil leak that is burning. It has likely been there for a while, but your flogging of the car caused it to smoke a little.

Ya, looks like old oil. Probably most of it burned off after you beat on the car testing tune. Probably not much to worry about it does not look like very much oil, just keep an eye on your level.
at least you're lucky you have a dipstick, us guys with the 560's got the electronic gauge which you never know what it is gonna show.

Anytime I had a car tuned it ran better in general.
Sounds like you have a great tune, enjoy.
I am seeking to tune my s560 soon.
I wonder if anyone on here has tuned the 4.0tt?

OP once it has cooled use a can of flammable brake cleaner to wash off the mess. Give it some time to evaporate after. It will smoke afterward. But then you can monitor how quickly it returns.

I have tuned my car with OETuning. I like the improvement of power and response but then again I’m not going to the track to race with it.

Same its mainly for me just knowing I have the increased HP/TQ sometimes once in a while you wanna hit that pedal

Once it warms up im gonna clean off some of that oil or when I drop it off to my indy and have hi swap out the spark plugs/coils but at 53,xxx miles im hesitant to spend the money on it when i'm doing so many other things to my W222

Oh Yeah - when I'm on the highway and decide to punch it the needle just rapidly does 40 then 60 then 80 etc I have no doubt im rolling with 530hp.
Cars no slouch stock with 449hp but adding 80hp and 90tq along with the little tweaks too im more then happy with this. In the future maybe i'll look into a downpipe but my cayenne and the loud startup i'm kind of over that.

Super happy with EuroCharged

Ok good to know the Eurocharged tune makes a difference. Also when you say "along with other little tweaks" what do you mean or have done ?

Little tweaks I mean like I dont see EuroCharged or anyone just raising the PSI of the turbos and saying here you go enjoy! It's like when we update our iPhones. Apple sends out the update for better performance and improvements which I never notice but it is there and like the EuroCharged Tune tweaks Ive seen 1-2MPG better increase and better throttle mapping better drivability etc the little tweaks the tune companies do to better perform over the standard MB Ecu
