Just curious about the AMG exhaust tips, I see the E63 tips fit on the W222 what about the others? Does anyone know?
Ive been looking on eBay trying to analyze and GLC and C63 and E63 they all look the same as the S63 but with some sellers the pictures aren't the best to give you a better look.
I can't find any quad exhaust tips to fit the base rear bumper on a 2019 w222. Most require a factory AMG sport package or replacement of the rear diffuser and those come with the non factory looking led lamp in the middle of it.
I have the AMG package - I was just under my W222 to have a look. I do see the nonfactory diffuser with the LED lamp but I dont like the provided exhaust tips. and I see on ebay and AliExpress similar AMG chrome exhaust tips buts I want the AMG logo on the exhaust.
Might take a shot at one of these AMG tips and will make it work one way or another.
I have always been disappointed by the style of the exhaust tips that Mbenz use for the W222 with the AMG Exterior Package. Once would assume that MBenz would at least use some real AMG looking exhaust tips with the AMG package (why not same ones on the AMG S63?). BMW uses true aggressive exhausts for vehicles with M-Sport Package that looks as good as the true M-vehicles. The AMG apperance package on Mbenz hve always uses soft-looking tips that is not so different from the standard ones.
Am interested if anyone has any recommendation for a true AMG look exhaust tips without major changes or welding needed (aka: plug an play or minor modifications)
I THINK the C63, E63 and S63 use the same exhaust tips theres not a lot of info on this but when I look up the AMG tips I see these websites are saying so which makes me think, what about the GLC and other AMG exhaust tips.. if the C63 matches the S63 wouldn't that mean the GLC lets say matches too?
all up in the air I guess ill wait and see what happens
On my 2017 I bought some inexpensive stick on fake s63 tip covers. I thought they looked great and actually held up well got them on Amazon. Not even sure if they make them for my 2018 as it uses much smaller tips than my 2017 did. Not crazy about the smaller ones but it is what it is. I can’t see a tip adapter on those with the split in the middle as it will hardly be noticeable.
I’ve always read that the S63 AMG tips are significantly larger and thus require the AMG rear diffuser. Would love to know that there’s a way to adapt the Sport Pack diffuser to make it work - I prefer the paint to the AMG’s chrome.
For sure. Should be getting them next Sat. I really liked the ones I had on my 2017. Then again I liked those larger outlets better. That’s my one complaint with the 2018 redesign is the smaller exhaust outlets.

I like the look. Glad to know they fit because I ordered them yesterday and now they will be here tomorrow from Amazon. Why aren't you completely satisfied? Do they stick out too far from the bumper?

No they don't, the fit is great, it is about the overall look that I'm not convinced that I like.....but this is only me....
I agree... I don't the overlook looks authentic or even unique. The fact that the tips are too small anyway doesn't offer any chance to make it look better.
Just put mine on. Don't forget to clean the surface before applying. I used alcohol wipes. There is a left and right side trim piece which are not interchangeable.
The before shot How they are packaged and the wipes to clean the surface first. These are sturdy tips. Real metal. The after shot. I like the look. That's a roll of paper towels for sizing. They are bigger than expected but don't look bad or stick out too far when installed
I think they look great. I think by using the alcohol wipes they will adhere better although eventual probably one or both will fall off in the car wash or something but for under 12 bucks I’m fine with them only lasting a year or two.
Those look great, I've seen those before for other models .. I wonder if there is a better choice for adhesive for long term .. something high temp safe
Im not a fan of the stick on at all but I have the E63 AMG exhaust tips - i did research on these and although these will need some modification ill have them welded on probably and done professionally.
They delivered today and as close to brand new you could get. the little hooks on them are the proper ones which face outward ( many others face inward ) i'll end up having to have the hooks angled better to go into the bumper but maybe not who knows but I don't see this being difficult at all
Ill also be deleting my mufflers and going with a 3" pipe to give it that not as loud as an AMG but a little more. like the video below and with my tune and having them "activate" the burble which does sound good but sounds too restricted by the time im done ill have to me the perfect sounding exhaust
Installed them today. Good mod for 13 bucks from Amazon. Aramox Exhaust Tailpipe Trim, 2Pcs Car Exhaust Tailpipe Cover Trim Stainless Steel Silver for Mercedes Benz S Class W222 2018
