I've read several different places that the Burmester and Burmester High End both support DVD Audio (but not SACD). However, I purchased a Fleetwood Mac Rumors DVD-A and upon inserting it into the changer, I get "disc not readable" error and it refuses to read. Has anyone with a 2014 had success with DVD-A?

Yes you can - it will play DVDs. With some coding from the Benz Ninja I think you can even enable the amazing dual-view screen where the driver can see Nav info and the passenger can see the DVD playing, all on the same screen.

I've done more research on DVD-A and DVD-V standards. I found this explanation helpful. There is some backwards compatibility, but only if the disc supports DVD-V format as well as DVD-A.

To address this, most DVD-Audio discs also contain DVD-Video compatible data to play the standard DVD-Video Dolby Digital 5.1-channel audio track on the disc[7] (which can be downmixed to two channels for listeners with no surround sound setup). Many DVD-Video players also offer the option to create a Dolby MP matrix-encoded soundtrack for older surround sound systems lacking Dolby Digital or DTS decoding.
