2022 AMG GT 53, 2020 Sl450. Did drive 2018 S450

MBUSA Extended Warranty

Added a 2020 SL450 six months ago to my garage. Mileage now is 10K. Looking to buy the 7/100K warranty. Local MB dealer in Fl is charging $5400 for MB extended warranty (not third party - don't know if I trust third party warranty) . I bought one from Fletcher Motors in 2018 for my 2018 S450 but the lady who sold it to me is no longer there. Anyone know where to get this cheaper online?

Not so sure these extended warrantees are worth it anymore, they always figure out a way to get out of things and charge you for the repairs. It didn't use to be this way, they stood by things, not anymore in my experience.

Your only real time to negotiate the price is when your buying the car. It got extension of 2 years and 3 years of maintenance on 2016 for $4800, used the warranty once for a flex plate that cost $1200 but I got over 5,000 in service for the car. You may think about 3rd party and get 6-8 years now as I don't know what the extra value is at this point of MB warranty as they seem to find ways to skip out.

I’m constantly amazed how much information is passed on by members of this site. I have learned much about my own car from reading daily posts. I actually read the owners manual but come away confused at times. I had no idea you could buy maintenance packages from a third party. I like the dealership that services my car, but they word things so to think theirs is the only choice. Thank you again to all that post on this site.

and because it was out of state no tax! Jeff is the way to go. I can breath a little easier until 2027 on my SL450. Now to worry about the 7/100 expiring on my 2018 s450 in Nov 2024 - hopefully a better version of the W223 will be out by then so I can upgrade!
