Hard to describe this. I hear sort of a grinding noise coming from left A/C vent at startup and maybe other times. Don’t hear it from anywhere else. It’s under warranty. Any guesses what it is?

Here in Raleigh NC we’re expecting 1/32 inch of snow next week. I’ll finally get to use 4Matic!!!!

There are a lot of audible servos etc in the HVAC system, its probably just the valving in the system adjusting...

I actually am fascinated by the HVAC system in this car, all the servos and pressurized wooshing when the system starts up sounds pretty expensive to me...

My $35,000 Buick LaCrosse made less noise……

Its not a noise that sounds cheap or like anything is wrong is my point, it sounds expensive. Thats not to say that your noise is what I'm describing, there could be an issue.

I’ll mention it to my service advisor, so they laugh at me and say “can you believe Zitsky didn’t know about the frambulator gear mechanism in the conamulator?” lol
