Any special jacking instructions?
I haven't had to jack my car up yet, but wondering if there's a button that you need to push (a la W220 back in the early 2000's). I'm considering taking my 2016 S550 on a road trip, but mostly likely driving my Lexus LS to avoid putting more miles on the MB and for peace of mind.

I would suggest looking under the car to make yourself familiar with the jacking points, I also bought a shaped " rubber puk" from ebay specifically for the S class to assist with jacking up.
Another major thing, don't laugh, is to make sure you have a jack in the car !, I keep a small trolley jack in the compartment under the boot ( trunk) floor together with a suitable wheel brace. I also have a calapsible spare wheel with suitable wheel bolts that has to sit in the boot. There is a compressor under the boot floor as well, I do not have run flat tyres on mine.
I have not had to press any buttons when changing a wheel on mine, on my 2004 Jaguar sometimes the air suspension drops so I have had to start the car up and wait for the car to rise in order to get the trolley jack out .

Google Planger.
they fit right into the mercedes jack points.
the jack points are pretty obvious as to where they are.

Ahhh, ok I see that. I had a friend up in Fort Lauderdale who swears by Bentley Continental Flying Spur/Flying Spur and he says the trunk a lot of times either won't close or won't open and he's had probably 4 or 5 of them.
An aside, I hate how BMW and Mercedes get lumped together because "they're both German". BMW is built by Bavarians, Mercedes is built by Schwabians, they're completely different cultures. I lived in Heidelberg and spent quite a weeks in Stuttgart and Munich back to back. They're about as different New Yorkers vs Texans culturally.
