Sun protection mat

In Texas, it is easy for the leather dashboard to come off due to the sun, but now this sun protection mat can solve the problem. In the Middle East and Southeast Asia, almost every car has one.

Folding foil-wrapped windshield mats are in common use in the USA - available at any auto parts store - I favor O'Reilly - why, because I've had a super investment in their shares!!!

Folding foil-wrapped windshield mats is useless for the dashborad leather.

Not so sure about that, besides the fact that the dashboard cover only covers....the dashboard, while the windshield mats cover the whole windshield...
I'm using a Mercedes windshield cover and I'm pretty happy about it....

Windshield tinting helps, 70-80 and no one can tell. I’d still use a silver fold up windshield thing too.

For those that live in regions that windshield tint is illegal, could get something like Covercraft windshield mat.

70 or 80 is basically clear and you can’t tell it’s tinted. I’ve had it on windshields for years and no problem. And it really helps when driving - glare and heat, mostly heat.

I understand but here in Canada it is completely illegal no matter how much tint, as long as it is tinted it is not allowed here.

It still helps it in a way too, simply because the heat hardly penetrates through it!

That looks awful, IMO.

Use a sunshade when parked outside and it will protect the dash.

Illegal everywhere but people do it all the time. The tint they use is so light nobody will ever notice.

Didn't know it was illegal everywhere but let me check with my friends if they proceeded to do the windshield tint despite being illegal in Ontario.

Whatever tint is not going to protect like a sunshade.

Totally, if you're parking it outside for long periods you should use a sunshade.

Same here, not allowed below the top 5” or so, if that. I also think it’s wise to reduce exposure to UV for those in the car.

Use whatever you think is best to protect the car and occupants.

Yes for sure, get whichever that fits the application the best with the least drawbacks : )

Covercraft makes a great custom fit sunshade. I use it in addition to the clear Expel tint. Also its wise to keep the leather conditioned.

Agree, I had one and liked it, it rejects heats better than other ones from experience.

Covercraft is what I get for my cars. Not inexpensive but good fit and solid build. I also use their covers.
