NEW MEMBER!!! I NEED HELP!!!!! Please!!!

I’m new to the group! I just bought my first Mercedes a 2015 s550 with 60k miles! I purchased the car last friday at Koons Woodbridge in Virginia! I heard a small ticking sound when I purchased the car! The mobile PPI that I had done he told me that sound was normal! I took it to Mercedes benz dealership on Monday was told high pressure pump was getting loud and the lifters they will need to lower the engine and replace lifters and high pressure pump! Is this normal???? I can’t understand how a dealership as Koons would sell me a vehicle with these problems! I took the car back Monday and they said they would have to run some tests on it! This **** got me so stressed out has anyone dealt with this problem before? Any feedback is helpful thanks yall!

No 30 day warranty, exchange period, implied warranty? Check virginia rules. I would go back and ask them to give me credit towards another vehicle, unless they want a bad Google review. Maybe your attorney could write a demand letter.

They had my car since Monday! I really don’t even no what’s the issue with the car yet but talking to some dealers out VA basically told me that I’m screwed! I signed the “as is” box with my name and I’m responsible for the repairs once it leaves the lot! I can’t believe I was that damn stupid not to see that I signed that! My salesman brought out a 30 day 1k miles warranty that I signed that I thought I was getting!

You thought and were given the impression that as is was in good, drivable shape. They misrepresented the car to you. Either talk to an attorney to see if you have any options or resolve yourself to the fact that you will end up paying more that you thought you would but will end up with a better car, as the repairs will put it in better shape than another used car without these repairs, and new parts. Most mercedes will hit you with a big bill at some point,. Welcome to the club. There are a few good independent mercedes shops in our area which would probably be less expensive for repairs.

Yeah bro I am prepared to dish out the money for repairs if I have to! I spoke to a lot of really good shop owners in the area who seem reasonable and knowledgeable! I’m thinking about getting a aftermarket warranty either from endurance or one that only Koons offer which is called allied! Hopefully I no soon what’s going on with it so I can make some moves!

Take the car to MB Automotive Services in Rockville and ask for Patrik. Let him look at it and you can trust an honest diagnosis and repair estimate. Patrik's head technician owns one of these himself.

Going to a dealership has nothing in common what so ever with going to someone you (or I) could trust.....the OP needs to go see this Patrik guy....

Great guys there who really know and love these cars, and on top of that dramatically cheaper than the dealer. The first time I went there they put my car up on the lift and the three of us just geeked out underneath it for 25 minutes, it was great.

Congrats on the new ride, though I’m really sorry to hear about the issues so soon after purchase. Sadly, ticking sounds that turn out to be serious aren’t uncommon in used cars, even from large dealerships. While they run tests, make sure everything is documented—paperwork can be crucial if things escalate. Also, if you're ever dealing with legal follow-up or need to access court records related to disputes or consumer protection, that resource might come in handy. Hope it gets resolved smoothly for you!
