Loaner car

Why not just forego the loaner all together if you have another daily that you prefer. This is what I did at my last service. Dropped the car off, walked home (it's only a mile for me), and then drove my other daily. Im generally not a huge fan of driving something that is not mine as you often encounter cars with problems that would not be acceptable in your own driveway,
There aren't any dealers of any makes in the US giving out $200k loaner cars when a car is in for service. Not even Ferrari.

People actually do complain about it as my wife and I have seen it first hand at a MB dealer.

The dealer is pretty laid back, think they give you a 53 (if available), when you bring in an AMG for service. But I could be wrong.

Great analogy. Not complaining at all, I was just doing a quick comparison of a 7 year old S to a new GLE 53. Like I said, my wife's daily was a GLE63s coupe for the past couple of years, so very familiar with the 63 flavor(s).
Offered to wait for the car for the day, but the dealer is pretty backed up (short staffed), and they wouldn't have been able to look at it till today or even Monday.

You're welcome. I spent a lot of time on that review, all 4 of my brain cells had to work overtime to put that review out.

This is why when I go hunting, I trap the buck, then hire three chatty women, and have them talk it to death. No entry or exit wounds.

Suppose I could have hoofed the 174 miles back to my place, but damn it, I'm getting too old to walk 3 days nonstop. Not everyone lives in a walkable city where pretty much anything a person would ever need is a quick walk away, my friend.

you’ve got quite a long way to your dealer. I probably have 50 or more dealers in that distance. You're welcome. I spent a lot of time on that review, all 4 of my brain cells had to work overtime to put that review out.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
To me I pay a LOT to drive an S580, its almost $500 a week. So, if I have to pay $500 to drive a C Class for a week, that doesn't excite me.
Dealers are just so good at deferring legitimate warranty service nowadays that a new car, in my experience, is vastly more hassle than a used car. At least with the used car the indie shops operate like a respectable business. They fix it quickly without argument over coverage.
In terms of loaners, nothing for that loaded EV truck. Zip. Not even Uber credits. An axe body spray-infused A3 was the loaner of choice for our e-tron (the electric flagship model a few years ago). Actually I did get a Model S once for my Model 3, and I was surprisingly impressed by it from a comfort point of view.
It's frankly sad that Mercedes treats flagship owners so poorly, when you've paid for the exact opposite level of service.

Goes well with speed holes.
