"Mr Mischief" stopped posting in late july, I just sent him a text message and received news that he passed away earlier this month.

He was quirky and funny, I'll miss him.
Rich was in his mid 60's. He had already had a heart and lung transplant several years back so he's been living on "house-money" since then. But he never fully recovered so every day was a battle to feel good. He wasn't a luxury car guy in the sense that he always had one, even though he could easily afford it. He had more classics and sports cars. That W222 was a bucket list present to himself. I've said my W222 is the last gas car I'll ever buy, but I don't want it to be the last car I'll ever buy.

So sorry to hear that! I know he had some serious health problems that were one of the reasons why he got his S Class. Please pass along all our condolences to whomever responded to your text

The forum name was intriguing and interesting.

It could come like a thief in the night.
Youth isn’t a guarantee.
Age isn’t either. Although to some extent it helps.
While you are enjoying your life and the struggles that come with it, it wouldn’t hurt to make all preparations to get underway.

His last post - embracing the repairs to the very end. It's a humble reminder to me that in just a couple months, his life would be over. Carpe diem, as has been mentioned, live this life and be present. Look forward, not backward and be curious, forever curious about our lives and the world we live in. As was said once, a life unexamined is not worth living. Sounds like Mr. mischief did it the right way

Last 2 things I know he completed were the ceramic coating and transmission flush and fill, whcih required him to use his lift...Impressive that he was able to pull that off. He gave me courage to do it myself, but I haven't yet.
On your point about runninbg out of time...I just booked a couple international trips; Tahiti with the wifey and Thailand with a couple of my friends, and I've increased my charitable donations.
