Yeah, this is B.S., teasing with these little snippets. And, they would have done SO much better with a professional spokesperson. I believe that guy is the new head of MB, isn’t he? He should know when and when NOT to get in front of a camera.

I believe he is the new COO of Mercedes Benz Cars. About 10 years ago he was the CEO of Mercedes Benz US international (US manufacturing in Alabama) and most recently was in charge of Production and Supply Chain for all of MB.

Not a fan. I love technology but the S class was always the model that can tie technology with luxury. The seats might be comfortable but that dash. I understand it’s preproduction, but to me it’s just a Tesla which I was never a fan of. I was never a fan of touch screens. Loved the dial

No more MB:(
Amazing tech, truly groundbreaking. However the interior lacks any styling. To me it's an upscale Tesla, maybe they can learn from Mercedes. I'm sure it will be an amazing car and will sell well, but for me it's just too much tech. Perhaps too much of everything. If they were able to integrate all this tech into a more luxurious and stylish interior it would have been so much better.
He should have asked "hey Mercedes, where can I find the spare tire?".

I have always said to myself when a new S comes out "Mmm, not my cup of tea, but I guess it'll grow on people". Now, I'm saying "that is one mother fugly car".

I have to admit, most of the new tech showcased in the 2 videos didn't impress me that much in terms of improvement over current. "Hey Mercedes, I'm tired" --- "You should take a break at the next opportunity." Truly ground breaking. The phone-to-all seats and other sharing gestures that were so screen intensive looked virtually useless. The new HUD did look impressive, if busy and the AI looks good. I think I've seen enough of it to not feel a surge of "I need the new S Class." My 2018 is going strong and this doesn't tempt me much to move "up."

AND, the 600 pound gorilla in the room is what will the first year glitches be like? No matter what anyone says about this being Mercedes-Benz and this being the S Class, there will be first year problems and the more new tech, the more problems. I will reserve my final judgement until I actually see and drive this new car, but should I end up with one, it will not be a first year model.

The launch of the latest LS was a flop reliability wise. The launch of the latest A8 was a big hit reliability wise.
On what planet did this happen on? Haha

I may be in the minority here, but I think the tech in this 2021 S Class is awesome. The lease on my 2019 (purchased in fall of 2018) will run out in the fall of 2021, at which time the 2022 S Class will be available. At this point, I would say that there's a 70% chance I will lease the 2022 model. Can't wait to see the final product of the 2021 model in the next few months.

What we find in our Tesla is that having Autopilot available reduces the risk inherent in operating a touchscreen vs physical buttons. Hopefully the W223 (or more likely EQS in my case) driving aids will do the same for us.
