The collar nut must always be replaced after being loosened. Coat contact surface of side shaft with wheel bearing with Molykote paint (MB part # 0009890152).

The clunk is heard once when changing from forward to reverse (and vice versa). Hi,

Do you know when in Q4 2022 the MBUX Multimedia System software will be released? Will it be Over-the-Air, (OTA)?

I took delivery of my S580 Executive Line in July 2022 and I have been experiencing a number of system bugs, one of which is no Internet access from the car WiFi hotspot, despite a subscription to the Deutshe Telekom data service. The MBUX center screen shows a 4G data connection in the upper right corner. The MBUX browser app functions perfectly, even permitting YouTube streaming. The TuneIn Radio app in MBUX also works perfectly. I also am able to use wireless Car Play. Yet, although I can connect to the car’s hotspot with an iPad or laptop, I can’t connect to the Internet from those devices.

If the MBUX update is OTA, I am not sure my system will be able to download it, given that the Internet connectivity is not working for the hotspot, but seems to be working for some built-in apps.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Over in EQS land a fellow had his car updated mid December with the latest version at that time being 316. Between here and there a new version came out, 329, that is the current version for us and the EQS; my car was flashed last Friday.

I think some people missed it on the 23 thread. I was on the phone with the tech because they don't know what they're looking at yet and the service advisor connected us directly so he wouldn't have to keep repeating my explanation of how it was supposed to work to the tech. That tech said he thought 329 was supposed to fix the carplay issues; didn't say why. He did test my car for it even though I don't do Apple because he wanted to look himself.

I am not saying it's fixed; I'm saying the tech seemed to think it might be fixed with this update.
