Interior Assistant
My car does not have MBUX interior assistant activated,nor does it show up in the system settings. Has anyone had this issue also?

I was mistaken on what the interior assistant is. Interior assistant is for the hand gestures and looking at the mirror to adjust it.

Not sure if the on-line unofficial sites (like https://www.lastvin.com/) recognise your W223 but you can get it from Mercedes Parts Info (spare parts system) or TIPS (the latter being more up-to-date).

Looking at the mirror (L or R) and adjusting it does not require having the Interior Assistant option. I don’t have Interior Assistant (since when I ordered mine with Sienna Brown interior and at the time you could only order IA with dark color seats), but can adjust which side mirror just my looking at at. However, I think it might require 3D Display so the camera knows which way your looking. This last point I’m assuming, but first part of my statement I’m sure of.

So I can look at mirrors and adjust the one I'm looking at, so I guess I have it, but hand gestures are not working for front reading light, passenger seat search light, and V-Pose to pull up favorites.. if you watch the MBUX interior assistance feature on you tube, the MBUX actually has graphic and user interface options for the V-Pose gesture to pull up favorites...

Thx Sonic! I have a fully loaded s580 with augmented reality and 3D dashboard, etc..spoke to dealer and he said I need to bring it in so they can trouble shoot. My door handles also don't pop out on approach.. no one seems to have an answer over at the dealership...

These new style handles are similar to Tesla's and although they cut down on drag, they are a design choice. I was watching some old TV shows with cars that had non-fancy flush handles even in the 70's and 80's. I have no issues with them and suspect I will get used to them and I hope they prove reliable over the years.

OTA update?? Hhhmmm. I could of sworn there is some hardware involved such as sensors in the overhead console above the rear view mirror to recognize/interpret the gestures/movements. How could this be accomplished with just an OTA update?

Interior Assist is not an option. In case if they missed this feature then where our credit? Just for example: $1700 credit for missing massage seats.
