Anyone get the red interior?

Just wondering if anyone has gotten a W223 with the red interior. If so, how about some photos?

Fwiw, I ordered both of my s coupes w/the designo bengal red/blank and iridium exterior, very sharp classic look and lots of complements. I’d imagine the 223 will look every bit as sharp especially contrasting against all the glossy black surfaces.

Go for it.

I am still undecided as to what I will do for a daily driver going forward, since my 2020 S560 is still experiencing transmission issues and there does not appear to be a fix on the horizon. I have a 2022 S580 on order. It was ordered as silver with the red interior, but I just changed it to Graphite with red. I dislike the all black glass roof and am looking to a darker color to help make it disappear. If I do get the car, which is supposed to be built in November, it should be pretty nice looking. I got these photos from the Mercedes-Benz.de website.

Nice, I had ordered flowing lines too, at the time they were uncommon and I really liked them.

Let them swap you into the 580, who knows maybe you’ll get a good one!

I had my car in for service and there was a white w223 with red interior ready to be picked up. The drivers side window was down so I poked my head in it. I’m not a big fan of red interiors at all, but this red leather was a really subtle shade of red. Not glaring, but very rich. It was the version with the pillow headrests, whichever trim level that is. I was surprised at how much I liked it.

When I first saw the Sienna Brown interior in those initial factory videos, I fell in love with it, as I have always liked “saddle” colored interiors. However, as I saw more and more of it, it just looks too orange for me. My last seven daily drivers—going back to 2005–all had black interiors, so I wanted a change. The Carmine Red just seemed to look the best to me and I have always loved red interiors, but have been very picky about the shade of red. I believe MB really nailed it with the W223: just the right shade, not too dark, not too garish and just the right amount of it, compared to the amount of black. Now, if they will just build the car as I ordered it—supposedly a November build—with EABC and everything else, maybe it will end up in my garage.

I just copied this next photo from the W223 photo thread. Will the REAL Sienna Brown please stand up? I guess lighting is everything in photography.

A friend of mine has a new 223 in precisely that combination, graphite with the red interior. Its beautiful. The red has a deep cabernet like tone to it, its not like a sports car red. His W222 was a 2018 silver with black. He really likes the change.

This is a picture I took of the sienna brown interior in natural lighting. This looks to my eye exactly like what it looked like in person. I like it, it would probably be my choice:

Lighting definitely has strong effects. I have two photos of Carmine Red but the lighting conditions severely changed the look in the photos. In reality, it is a nice deep cherry red I would say, almost merlot. In my photos with the sun however it looks more bright and vibrant. Its very classy, reminds me of a lot of older luxury cars that use to have red interiors. I would say its my favorite interior after the Macchiato Beige Interior (especially when Macchiato is paired to the aluminum fawned wood trim).

The Carmine Red looks awesome. It’s a great choice with graphite, silver, white or black exteriors! I ordered Nautical Blue, and thought Carmine Red might be too much with blue, so I went conservative and ordered the black interior. I will most likely do Carmine Red on my next one.

Got the red and I love it

Got the red and so many complements on it. I love it and would not have picked any other color. I think this was a very very good choice.

Very nice spec, the AMG-Line with Red Leather is a great contrast.

Saw my buddy's W223 again yesterday in the color combo you ordered Stream, I say go for it. Its very sharp, and the red is very interesting and different. My assistant was with me (he's an Audi guy) and he made the comment that one of the things he has never liked about Mercedes is their interior options are so dour, he really liked the red too.

If I were buying a W223 to keep for 10 years I probably wouldn't get the red for fear I would get tired of it, but for a lease why not?
