Release of 2022 S580s from port

Does anyone know when the 2022 S580s will be released to the dealers? My car has been sitting at the port for a few weeks and my BMW lease is up Dec 3rd.

Rockland. I’m waiting on mine that’s been at the VPC going on 2 months. If I get any updated info I’ll post it here. Please post if you learn something new on this.

dealer simply says soon but I think they have no idea. If MB is waiting for the remaining 21’s to be sold, then it could be a while. The unsold 21’s have a huge mark up at least in Florida.

I spoke to my dealer as I am awaiting my 2022 S580 too. They said the VPC is updating some software on some of the 2022 including mines so hopefully will get it by this month. Few dealers in Michigan already have the 2022 S580 in stock

The majority of dealer websites will appear to have the car in stock - they'll provide a stock number with generic pictures of the model and fail to include in transit etc..

Yesterday my sales guy texted me that the 580s are being released by the end of the month.

Sorry you are right only they have the generic pictures and info but the cars are still at port. Hopefully by end of month..

"Released" is a general term. It merely means that the S 580's can be taken from the VPC's to the dealer and sold.
Obviously, they can't all go at once.
It took months to move all the 2021's out of the VPC's.

Its extremely frustrating that there is lack of communication from MBUSA. Such arrogance. I get way better details on my Bronco order from Ford just to say.

The S580 was built 9/14 and enroute on ship on 9/21 and arrived to NJ on 10/14. It was at VPC since October 14.

I will definitely post some good pictures of the S580 with my SLR camera soon!

My 2022 Nautical Blue has been sitting in the Baltimore port since Aug. 5. Dealer says they should receive it any day now. I am anxious to see what it looks like since I have yet to see that color in person.
