S class build now updated on MB USA Site (2022 MY)
On the executive edition of the S580, I see the following options n/a:
Active Ambient Lighting
10 degree Rear Axle Steering

10 degree RWS is no longer standard in 2022

And the Nautical Blue looks completely different in real life than it looks like on the configurator.
cuz i had my dealer build an executive line model...and the $1300 cost for RWS is now shown an incremental cost, no longer standard.
and active ambient did not show up at all on his build screen.
even worse...the build order has already indicated multi-contour being unavailable at this time.
what a mess..this is complete...

1) Active ambient lighting doesn't show up in netstar. You can't physically order it, at least in the US. it shows up randomly on some cars just like an opposite of some random 2021 models geting credit for missing standard AAL. Here is an example build sheet with it:
But I don't believe you can order 878. I think it just shows up on random days of production based on availability of chips and stuff. So if you get it, yay, if you don't, sucks, but I don't believe there's a way to guarentee you get it.
This is a screen shot from the EQS order guide, which explains it, and then a screenshot from the latest S Class order guide where as of this summer they stated it was limited supply and not avaiable for ordering, and they have not made any updates since:
And:
2) As for the 10 degree rear steering, I'd be interested to see if in fact it's no longer on he Executive line, but the confusion may be because of how the Executive line is displayed on Build sheets and window stickers. The Order guide shows everything inclded like this:
While build sheets show the DX2 code but have everything shown as a stand alone package or option, with DB0, DB4, and DB5 (no rear seat entertainment, DB6 right now) and then standalone optins 216 for rear axel steering and 78B for the rear interior assisiant. So it looks like Rear axel steering is a standalone option, but really it's included in the $13,050 Executive line.
So, I'd be curious to see of the rear axel steering is ganuinely not included with Executive line, and that would be a shiock to me, but it's possible the confusion is from how the options are displayed and shown.
It should be noted that the build your own on the mbusa website is often inacurate and has minor mistakes, so the RWS not showing up on mbusa.com may mean absolutely nothing. Might just be a mistake.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
RWS no longer included as standard in 2022 executive line.
I ordered this car, so the options are available - however at time of build they may be left off due to availability.
Please see a 2022 build sheet below. I am picking up car tomorrow. If you check the pricing, the changes become more obvious

Interior assist disabled because of interior color - maybe it will be enabled via software upgrade as was done for other interior colors.
Energizing comfort disabled because credit for inoperable air balance.
When chip comes in for air balance, energizing comfort should be enabled as well.

I'm glad to hear the energizing comfort will also be enabled with the air balance chip, although to be honest it's more of a gimick then a useful feature in my opinion.
