No. They replaced the transmission & torque converter and if anything, the problem got worse. It is in the software and MB will pretty much not allow the dealers to fool with it, as it leaves them open to potential issues from the EPA, as far as I understand it. Why most cars operate perfectly and some don’t, I have no idea. My 2015 S550 & 2018 S560 both shifted flawlessly. This one has a very rough 3-2 downshift that drives my wife crazy. I’m sort of getting over it, but if they want to buy back the car, I’m probably going to let them have it.

I had a 2019 S 560 and traded it for a 2022 S500. The cars are comparable in many ways. The 560 was only a hair faster than my current 500. My 500 is tricked out with almost very avail option and came with an MSRP of $150k. So my 500 has more extras than a of base 560, my 2019 MSRP was $136k. I like the road presence of the 2019 more and the 2019 appears larger, but isn't.

performance in the 500 is excellent and is still a fast sedan with 0-60 in about 4.6 sec.

I love the 500 and the only question is really, if I do without the "560" on the trunk badge (I can).
