W223 Motor Mount Wires...Why?

Why are there wires going to the bottom of the motor mounts on the M256 straight six petrol motor?

Detect leaked oil & low height when they they fail, haha? Load sensors? Alter their stiffness? Have to be programmed so they cost way more?

Similar item on previous models:

Asking a technical question with suggested possible answers strewn about

I've replaced the engine mounts on other Mercedes vehicles but none with a wire attached. Thanks

I am guessing these mounts are extra stiff so a solenoid open/close oil damper to soften vibrations around idle rpm.

++++ Edit++++
A feedback sensor is used to measure vibrations and activate solenoid as needed through external control.

They are active mounts, which means they produce offsetting vibration at a similar frequency to the engine to naturalize pass through to the cabin.

Similar item on previous models:

Switchable/adjustable mounts. Similar to adjustable dampers. The engine mount is a hydraulic fluid-filled damper.

So the motor mounts have adjustable damping seems the most likely. Thanks for the replies.
