Let the retrofitting begin!
I find the s very silent on highways and we have grooved, chopped up and black top highways here in Michigan and it's perfectly smooth and quiet. I just hear subtle wind noise as this car is so silent. Drop the pressure and break those tires in and let me know how it is. I'm a fussy guy and hate certain tires and vibrations. The s is glass smooth at all speed. I got all tires put on road force machine and they match mount the high spot of tire to low spot of rim for perfectly round assembly like from factory with all assembly exerting less than 10 lbs up and down force on the roads. If anything is greater than that it will feel slightly rough at certain speed even on smooth roads.

Thanks for the heads up on RFB, I'll go get this done and see if it helps
I'm pretty sure there is nothing criminal involved, but I feel raising too much public awareness of this topic probably isn't in the best interest of myself, the shop owner, and everyone after me who may wish to avail them of similar services.
I would be grateful if you could also help edit out your comments on these content

我就是担心这个😓 不过还是感谢🙏
Secondly, I’m not providing any useful info for other visitors with my comment.
lastly, there’s a thing called Google translate if you are really interested in what I said in Chinese
BTW, I speak Putonghua natively. Google Translate is for foreigners.

With the scale of retrofit being so massive, I personally was not too optimistic about the work. Even the torque of a screw being slightly off the spec can cause squeaky noises.
Surely this can be fixed and it is just a matter of time (and hassle and aggravation, unfortunately).
So, may I suggest we stop this topic derailing right here?
But yeah, I don't have anything to add here so I'm done.

There are still improvements (eg the led resolution is much higher, which, IIRC, is advertised as a main feature) but whether it is worth or not is another issue.

But, to enable the full features (including the projections) of the DL, they have to do the software reprogramming, which is much harder.
In fact, I think their strong suit is in the hardware size while software fiddling is better handled by a MB dealer.
Actually, I think there is also the legal consideration. Just enabling the ''meteor shower'' show when starting the car does not affect other road users. But, if the DL features are not done 100% correct, it will potentially affect other road users and there are serious legal consequences which I reckon a responsible retrofit shop should avoid.
The disassembly and reassembly process will commence tomorror morning, and I will update as the project goes along.
For now, I thought some of you might be interested in seeing a shot detailing all the part pieces.
Gotta admit, the AMG exterior styling package (all the way to the left) contains way more pieces than I initially expected

List of options to retrofit:
1. AMG exterior styling
2. AMG 3-spoke steering wheel
3. Rear external wireless charger
4. Rear folding tables
5. Digital lights
6. Fanned walnut trims
7. Burmester 4D (upgrade from 3D)
8. Central computer swap (from Mexican to Chinese)
9. 21-inch bi-colour multi-spoke rims + PS4S tires (shout out to Baloo588 for recommending this specification and saving me from the hellfire of 10,000 blown-tires)
10. 3D instrument cluster
11. AR HUD projector
12. AMG floor mats
13. AMG metal pedals
14. Fridge
15. Rear armrest tablet (my car did not come with this due to chip shortage at initial delivery)
I would strongly advise against retrofitting the AR HUD. This conversion involves too many pieces - the entire dashboard (top leather trim + the skeleton underneath) and front windshield have to be swapped out. Too many things can go wrong here.
