I had three W222’s all equipped the same, so I know how those cars rode. With a significantly higher price tag, I was looking for even better ride quality from the W223 with the $6,500.00 E-ABC option. The car is significantly quieter, but not nearly as smooth riding at low to moderate speeds over anything other than ribbon smooth roads. It rides nicely at highway speeds. Very disappointing.
What tire pressures are you running?

I'm surprised that the PS4 where a bit noisier. Mines are very quiet not going to lie. Maybe it's a bad tire or batch? It can happen. I had issues with Bridgestones causing harmonics and swaped them.

I find the s very silent on highways and we have grooved, chopped up and black top highways here in Michigan and it's perfectly smooth and quiet. I just hear subtle wind noise as this car is so silent. Drop the pressure and break those tires in and let me know how it is. I'm a fussy guy and hate certain tires and vibrations. The s is glass smooth at all speed. I got all tires put on road force machine and they match mount the high spot of tire to low spot of rim for perfectly round assembly like from factory with all assembly exerting less than 10 lbs up and down force on the roads. If anything is greater than that it will feel slightly rough at certain speed even on smooth roads.

For the record, the extra noise and road vibration in my cabin was most likely caused by the larger wheels, not the PS4S. When I placed my order for the 21s, I made a point to order the rims only, not the **exploding** P-zeros, so I have no idea how the PS4S compare with them in terms of comfort.

Thanks for the heads up on RFB, I'll go get this done and see if it helps

OP speaks English good enough and I suppose you do too as you can read his posts.
Suggest you use English so that everyone can understand. And if it is 'personal', you can just send him a private message.

Unfortunately, my experience with this shop has not been trouble free. I have noticed some squeaky noises in a few places in my cabin after the reassembly process. The shop owner has promised to investigate and fix everything on his next trip to my city, but as of right now, it is impossible for me to recommend this shop to anyone.

I will update this thread when the issues have been resolved (or, god forbid, when they have failed)

First of all, thank you for the suggestion but I can speak whatever language I want.

Secondly, I’m not providing any useful info for other visitors with my comment.

lastly, there’s a thing called Google translate if you are really interested in what I said in Chinese

Thank God that you do understand English as I was so afraid you do not.
BTW, I speak Putonghua natively. Google Translate is for foreigners.

Ah! Now I know why you have not posted for such a long time since taking delivery of the retrofitted car.
With the scale of retrofit being so massive, I personally was not too optimistic about the work. Even the torque of a screw being slightly off the spec can cause squeaky noises.
Surely this can be fixed and it is just a matter of time (and hassle and aggravation, unfortunately).

I never looked at the rules but most forums have one stating you must speak the forum language, not all, but most. I actually l just looked for them because the rather arrogant post above had piqued my curiosity. In any event I think "other posters" are qualified to determine what is and isn't of interest to them. I myself was curious about how things were going and had been following this thread; based on the posts I'm not the only one with an interest.

I can assure you that nothing said above in non English is 'significant' regarding OP's topic of retrofitting.
So, may I suggest we stop this topic derailing right here?

I used Google Translate before he suggested it in his response; I know exactly what he said and did the same for your responses. I travel extensively for both work and play and own a couple of apartments overseas. No chance I would say what he said in any of those places because in all of them it would have been a bit rude.

But yeah, I don't have anything to add here so I'm done.

Hi, what about Digital Lights? Were they able to program the projections and other features?

OP said in post #59 that he has none of those projections onto the road works. Read that post for more details.
There are still improvements (eg the led resolution is much higher, which, IIRC, is advertised as a main feature) but whether it is worth or not is another issue.

Surprised they could do a major upgrade (which I'm sure included reprogramming i.e. from Mexican to Chinese system) but can't do the Digital Lights Projection?!?!

I think it is rather easy just to switch the computer unit (from a Mexican one to a Chinese one) by just unplugging and replugging the cables. No sweat.
But, to enable the full features (including the projections) of the DL, they have to do the software reprogramming, which is much harder.
In fact, I think their strong suit is in the hardware size while software fiddling is better handled by a MB dealer.
Actually, I think there is also the legal consideration. Just enabling the ''meteor shower'' show when starting the car does not affect other road users. But, if the DL features are not done 100% correct, it will potentially affect other road users and there are serious legal consequences which I reckon a responsible retrofit shop should avoid.

For now, I thought some of you might be interested in seeing a shot detailing all the part pieces.

Gotta admit, the AMG exterior styling package (all the way to the left) contains way more pieces than I initially expected

https://youtu.be/pZBQZ3ZkOVo

List of options to retrofit:

1. AMG exterior styling
2. AMG 3-spoke steering wheel
3. Rear external wireless charger
4. Rear folding tables
5. Digital lights
6. Fanned walnut trims
7. Burmester 4D (upgrade from 3D)
8. Central computer swap (from Mexican to Chinese)
9. 21-inch bi-colour multi-spoke rims + PS4S tires (shout out to Baloo588 for recommending this specification and saving me from the hellfire of 10,000 blown-tires)
10. 3D instrument cluster
11. AR HUD projector
12. AMG floor mats
13. AMG metal pedals
14. Fridge
15. Rear armrest tablet (my car did not come with this due to chip shortage at initial delivery)
i also want the 3d instrument cluster for mine with the ar hud projector. whats the differance with mexican and chinese systems?

The main difference is pricing and bundling policies. Mexica offers much better optioned cars at way better prices.

I would strongly advise against retrofitting the AR HUD. This conversion involves too many pieces - the entire dashboard (top leather trim + the skeleton underneath) and front windshield have to be swapped out. Too many things can go wrong here.
