MBUX Navigation Symbol

I just got the MBUX update that changed the Home Screen to the navigation map. While driving home from the dealership, the icon showing my location on the map was a little car instead of the red arrow. I turned the car on this morning and the little car has changed back to the red arrow. Does anyone know how to change the red direction arrow back to a car? The owners manual has a photo of the navigation screen showing the car, noting that it can be a car or an arrow…but it doesn’t say how to select the car icon.

I believe when the screen zooms out it goes to a red arrow, and when zoomed in it shows a car. Not sure if that can be changed.

On another note I had the MBUX update via the recall, and now my traffic light view doesn’t come on when i am first in line at a red light. Will go back to dealer but not now as I do not feel like dealing with them.

Did you check your assistance settings for the traffic light camera?

Thanks, Phillyfinest, that is probably how it works. I too had the traffic light view go off after the update and I turned it back on in settings as js-cls suggested.

What do you like about the traffic light view? To me it’s annoying

Nothing more than just knowing that a feature the vehicle is equipped with does not work. Hardly see it when it did work.

Gotya. I’m the same way. Paid good money for features to actually work
