If you don’t have medical insurance through an employer or as required through the Affordable Care Act (which I think is just five or six states, all others being optional), then file a claim with your car insurance as I previously mentioned. The more I think about, the more I believe it should be covered under bodily injury. If you don’t have car insurance then I’m sorry, but you’re operating your vehicle illegally.

Excuse me for being a surgeon. You are losing your credibility very fast!! I had sympathy with you before , not any more
Keep on presenting factual information or, even worse, critical thinking, and see where that gets you: It could go so far as to see you accused of being mean.

Well I broke, and going by memory here all the bones in the thoracic spine, 6 in the neck 1 in the spine. I could be wrong though and it was 2 in the spine 5 in the neck. 29 was a typo I apologize I will edit my mistake I was emotional while typing, I made more than a few typos.

It was a miracle, an honest to God miracle. I was a passenger in Acura MDX, this was in 2003 June to be exact. The vehicle rolled from what I understand many times, I had my seat belt on but I still flew on the final flip.

I don't remember much. I remember waking up trying to move. I couldn't, I remember thinking to myself wiggle your toes, I remember not knowing if they wiggled but thinking oh God I hope they are wiggling. next thing I know some people are telling me the helicopter is coming. Then I was getting in then we landed. A Dr. came in told me I didn't have long if I had any messages for anyone. I did, I then passed out I woke up IDK how long later. A different Dr. was with me now, he explained I was never going to walk again. He said I had passed, he told me they could not stop the internal bleeding, but then it stopped, I cried my family cried, the next morning my bed was rolled down for another test. Another MRI I think. I was high on morphine and alone with the nurse, she struggled to figure out how to get what she needed with me in the bed.

I said, do you want me to stand up? She said, you can stand up? I stood up. She took the picture, seemed in a hurry to put me back down. I fell asleep. I woke up to a new Dr. and a bunch of other Drs talking to my family. They explained to me the disconnect between my spine and legs was gone, they said sometimes this happens. He explained it would be a long road, 6 to 12 months of physical therapy, He said I would be released in as little as 1 month. The next day after more scans I was given a turtle shell with neck attachment. The Dr. told someone there to make it from scratch. God bless them, 3 days later I went home. The Dr. who made the turtle shell came down to the car, I thanked him and everyone else again, he grabbed my hand and said "Son you are walking proof of miracles, do you understand you are here by God's grace". i started crying, when the nurse told me he wasn't religious. I promised there and then to always say what God did for me whenever it comes up.

Sorry for the long post, but a promise is promise. So go right ahead tell me my life's not real, I having been wondering the same thing since that day.

Actually….I think I can explain this (and the rest of his story). It’s called….he is full of ****.

Let’s get this straight….

Car cut him
Has famous wife
Has no health insurance but $130k car
Broke more bones in his back than humanly possible
Oddly brought a camera in to his dealer to record said encounter but hasn’t posted said video
20 other odd things said

Get some help brah….you are getting way more sympathy here on this forum because it’s mostly old people on the S class forum.

I was thinking the same thing, its amazing.

I had a harrowing experience yesterday myself. I was hungry, and I ordered Chick fil A. A treat for me you see, since 20 years ago my father was tragically murdered by a rabid chicken right in front of me. I was forced to watch while the chicken ate both of his heads and ripped off all 3 of his arms. After a lot of therapy and soul searching, I came back to chicken. So, I sat down to enjoy my meal, the warm feeling of anticipation washed through me. Then...it happened. I bit down on the side of my tongue....my mouth filled up with blood! Why!......Why! I exclaimed as I threw the brutal poultry up into the air. Why!! My wife called an ambulance, and they raced me to the emergency room...she was screaming and crying. $300,000 the doctor said it would cost to save my tongue! I may never taste again! I can't lick an ice cream cone, or "comfort my wife as she wants to be comforted" (you all saw that too right? Yikes) Damn you chicken....damn you! I called Chick fil A, and they must have been having a party that day because the guy on the phone couldn't hear me because of all the laughing behind him. All I could do was weep, and know that I could never look at, or even hear about Chick fil A again.

Tell me my life isn't real!

You come across as perfectly respectful and nice. The service dept doesn’t know what to do with you….as does some of the judgement tribunal on this forum. You’re fully believable.Thank you for taking the time to edit down the video and share it here.

If I were you, I would just hire a personal injury attorney and stop communicating with MBUSA. I would also stop posting anything that could be used in a trial and listen to your legal counsel’s advice. I’m sure this thread will get brought up in a judge or jury trial assuming MBUSA fights it. Good luck.

This thread has gone all over the place and not in a good way. Thread closed.

If the OP wants to create a new thread discussing the injury, please do so in a general forum. The only thing specific to the W223 is the aluminum/walnut trim. It maybe wise for other owners with the same option to check all trim pieces and have any suspect ones replaced under warranty and report back in a new, specific thread.
