Their site says the MSRP, nothing else. Not sure what you are seeing. I have never heard of ipacket so I don't have a clue who they are. I will say that I service my vehicles at this dealership but I've never come close to buying there. Their prices are ludicrous. As an example when I leased my S560 before buying it they had a similar car that was sticker around $3k higher but their lease quote was $600 a month more with the same terms. Even when I showed the manager the deal he said that's impossible and even insisted I was full of it when I showed him my car (and paperwork). They are used to dealing with those on the north shore of LI and most of the time people there don't even know what money is. I'm serious, it's astonishing how many of my neighbors and colleagues don't even have a clue about the price of things or what they should pay for cars and houses. They see a price and they say ok.

They may have changed it after I confronted them, cargurus were also informed and they owned it in email to me. I dont believe the people on LI are stupid either not to know the scams. I am a retired physician well off financially but refuse to be a fool.

New cars are almost never listed with a discount. They are posted typically showing the MSRP of the car. Be wary of third party websites as well. They’re handled by third parties on behalf of dealers and they’re prone to error. Always confirm the listing on the dealer’s site.

I'm pretty sure most online ads have legal boilerplate somewhere (fine print) that says while they try their best to be accurate, they cannot be held responsible for the veracity of anything the ad claims

I have NEVER seen my dealer (the one you are talking about) have a vehicle on their site listed as anything other than MSRP when you search a vehicle. I don't view it as a scam, You are looking at third party websites. Check the dealer's website and call. If you are as intelligent as you say then you should know this. If the numbers seem ludicrous then know they probably are and move on.

iPacket is a company lots of dealers use to give a simple showing of the car with pictures, build sheet, warranty info, and for used cars CarFax and VMI. It's basically a tool that the dealer can buy and use on their inventory. The price is set by the dealer. So for them to still have that car listed for $125,000 on iPacket is pretty misleading.

For your defense I can say that I'm partially agree with you. Dealer should check 3rd party websites and make sure the info stated correctly, but on the other hand it's your job as a customer to contact a dealer and verify the price.
But..sorry.. I forgot...you don't take advices from people of my caliber.
