2022 - S580 and 2019 Porsche Carrera S Cabriolet

CarPlay disconnects

Every 3 or 4 weeks, when I start the car, it doesn’t recognize my iPhone/CarPlay. The only way to resolve it has been to delete the phone from MBUX, turn my blue tooth off and then on again, and then reconnected the phone as if it’s a first time. Often when this happens it takes 2 or 3 attempts, the first few say “connection unsuccessful”. Dealer says this is not a known problem and there are no updates.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any thoughts?

Theres a new software update for this and it will install the zero layers if you havent done it yet. Should fix the carplay issue according to the tsb.

LI82.70-P-075186 AUG/22 – 223,232,206,297 Wireless Apple Carplay does not initiate at start-up, MBUX Multimedia System software update will be released in Q4 2022.

I had it applied on my S580 last week just to get zero layers. Didnt have any issues with carplay or android auto disconnect though but it should solve your issue.

hold the home button and see what happens.

Lol There are no spoilers, I got that accidentally and don't know how it happened but I'm too lazy to retype the post after deleting it. At this point I'm starting to think maybe I should have just deleted and started over.
