New software update today
This update loaded by itself…while I was driving. An hour later, I was notified by Mercedes Me Connect. Anyone know what this update does? I’m in a 2022 S500.

That’s surprising to me. In the little over a year I have had my car I never seen an over the air update or message in mercedes me connect. Wondered why do we even have it or of it really works. If if wasn’t for the recall foe the SIM that was done over the air I thought my car wasn’t getting updates. And even with that recall I didn’t get a message when it was done. I only knew by checking the recall website.

I’m not using my Benz for over a month now , It got the 12v warning on , it seems like it didn’t update. I’ll check it tomorrow.

I have a MY21 W223 and have it set up to accept from day one, but I’ve never once been notified of an OTA update. Very now and then during startup I get a message to acknowledge to accept/decline the updates. How do I know it’s actually working?

When you say you have it set up to accept, where did you do that at? In the app or on the web? Like you i have never seen any message that I have an OTA, or any message to acknowledge to accept/decline.

The update notice I posted above appeared out of the blue. I was not given a choice to accept it or not accept it. Maybe Mercedes Benz rolls the updates out at different times …. and slowly, at that? Maybe I’m in the Beta program? 😱🤪 Uh Oh!

Occasionally, when starting car, I’ll also get the pop-up “Declaration of consent” to receive notifications of availability of s/w updates, but I’ve never received one since I took delivery of car May 2021.

Mine came across my Connect app, when i got into the car a message popped up saying it failed installation. Since then there is no way to try to reinstall. Luckily I'm bringing this car into the dealer next week and will have them update the entire car. I've gotten popups for everything and lately I'm getting coolant low messages when the tank is completely full

Our w213 has had two connectivity module updates and a few others, none has failed. Perhaps a new attempt is possible from the SW status menu (cannot remember where exactly).
