Well, it’s not supposed to be a replacement for 6’1”, 175# “Helga” from Sweden. These systems are to simply help with travel fatigue. When you drive for 7 hours and check into the Four Seasons, you’ll sill want to make a spa appointment.

Well its more of a tickle. I wouldn’t call it a massage. Now I’m on the hook to buy my wife a real one.

My first S Class was a 2013 S550. That was two models ago, a W221 as pictured. The massage feature in that car was much more firm. Starting with the 2014, W222 models, the massage feels like an inflating balloon and just as it starts to feel firm, it “POPS” and then starts all over again. In some of the modes, the popping noise can be heard, which I find irritating.

I love my massage seats. Like Streamliner said its not a replacement for a real massage, its to keep your back from getting tired on a trip. The hot stone massage on mine on a long trip feels great.
Same as those above: I light them when I start getting fatigued and they do help get the blood flowing again. In my case I find the're delightful when I turn them on but before long they've become an annoyance and I turn them off again.
