Question Umbrella Holder for W223 (trunk lid mount)

I was digging around the W222 forum, and came upon this: an OEM umbrella holder for the trunk lid!

Does the W223 have something similar from the factory, or do we have to put up with our umbrellas rolling around in the trunk?

It was shown as a feature in the reviews but my car did not come with one.

Just lifted the lining in my trunk to check. Yep, mounting holes for the umbrella holder still there, as was the case in W221 and W222. Definitely looks like the same mechanism.

I'm gonna order the same set used by those W222 owners, and attemp a DIY instllation myself

And while I was at it, I also discovered, for the first time, that my car trunk had a built-in traffic triangle... Well, good to know.

Go to 8:17, you'll see it right away. This was shown in several reviews, not just this one.

Thanks man, and yep, definitely the same mechanism, inherited from W221...

If it works for you I'm going to jump in on this one, please do let us know. I actually had my umbrella with me when I took delivery because it was pouring that day; when I opened the trunk to put the umbrella into the holder that wasn't there... I think I may have used strong language.

Job done. Bought the components from my dealer and had them do the install.

That is one freaking solid umbrella holder I mean, just listen to that thud...The first time I heard it, I was like 'Whooooa!'

I am not used to seeing such outstanding build quality in my s class. Thought it was gonna be just as flimsy as all the other plastics in the interior.

Anyways, part numbers I gave my dealer:

Umbrella Clip # 2218101214
Treenail (x2)# 6399980185
4.2x25 Screws (x2)# 000000000525

All five components added up to less than USD 50.

I have a 2020 S560 and purchased all the parts mentioned. When I look at the umbrella holder, on the back side it has 4 feet/legs that look like they need to slide into "slits" in the trunk lid. Are the slits prepunched in the trunk lid, in addition to the holes for the plastic captive nuts? I have attached photos of both sides of the holder.
