This message keeps displaying. I can see all 6 dots so I hit OK. It goes away for about 2-3 minutes and then comes back

MB has come to the conclusion that all of their customers are idiots and need to be treated like children. The 6 dot thing is annoying and was unnecessary. Once again, MB fixed something that wasn’t broken.

I agree, the dot message is a real pain; As I understand it, it is the system which is watching the driver to insure he/she does not doze off while driving. The alignment, I am told, is to make sure it can sense your eye movement. Personally, I ignore the message (which only stays on screen a short time) and, on long trips, I still get a warning message if I start to nod off.

It isn't only about driver doze off, the cluster IR camera needs to see the driver's eyes to be able to show the 3D cluster view. Ignoring the warning message does not help unless you change the steering wheel or seat position. The car could perhaps be less sensitive with the loss of eye view, should not matter if even the 3D cluster view would be lost temporarily and doziness doesn't change a lot within a couple of minutes.

What is the position of your steering wheel? If you have it on the lowest position, the wheel rim will block the top two dots, triggering frequent warnings. Try having the wheel slightly higher - a little bit will do, just enough to clear the top two dots.

Not saying this is ideal. Just an idea to hopefully help you get by.

Simply this will disappear once your eyes match with the cluster eye sensors, those are important and the can function with these sensors, also it start dotting when your eyes busy maybe on phone or hands hiding those sensors or seat position and steering, just assure the eyes sensor are alined with your eyes then it will be active with the linked function to this sensor like the 3D view, driver attention etc.

Gain 30 pounds and it will think you are 6 feet tall and everything will be fine. Then go to your doctor and he will tell you to lose 50 pounds and you need to buy a Kia Sportage. Does this make sense?

I have noticed if I drive with my left hand at 1 o'clock and my right hand at 5 o'clock, which I do sometimes to stretch my arms, my left arm blocks the cameras and then I get the message noted above.

I guess it does, although unrelated I don't recommend driving like that, in case the air bag ever has to be deployed you might get injured, hopefully it doesn't ever have to though.
