That being said, I stand partially corrected as I didn't know it wasn't on the S-Class.

Regarding the Safety problem, I didn't notice any difference when driving even at high speed(90mph), can you give me more information? I want to know more...Thanks!
Yes, the w223 S63's aftermarket grill/parts will fit right, but there are some details when installing the electronic parts(needs good tech support), I always recommend OEM parts, which are almost headache free.
I can post an S63 aftermarket grill install demonstration video to show it better but don't know how to do it on this forum.
My car does have the L badge, I just removed all badging for stealth style.
All Chinese S class have L badges, but the Maybach S class only got S480 and S680, don't need the L.

I used to order the 260 option (no badges) but the factory does not allow this for hybrids. Some sort of forced green marketing.
It is MB China's attempt to differentiate the long wheel base versions of E and C class from their regular counterparts, for this specific market. Customers here, on average, are much less educated on the nuances of different models, so aggresive, in-your-face badging like this is required, to help them move the more expensive model variants.
For the average Chinese customer, just obscurely knowing that your car is a few inches longer than your neighbour's, is not enough. They need to visually 'see' that extra money

Vulgar. But it is what it is.
