New 2022 S580 or 2023 S580
We are considering a 2023 S580 or a 2022 S580 - do you have a strong opinion for one or the other? The 2023 is a little more in price, is it worth it? I have been driving a 2016 740i and decided against the new 2023 740i.
Thanks!

If you can save a significant amount (say 10-15%) I would definitely go for a 22. There are some good deals to be had out there and some inventory so don’t be afraid to negotiate aggressively.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my S580 thus far, and yes there are some minor annoyances most of which can be dealt with by getting proper software updates. Don’t buy a car with 21” tires. You will see on this forum why. I have 20” and I wouldn’t go any larger than 20. Also don’t get the upgraded magic carpet suspension. Apparently it’s a disaster.
Good luck!!

Looking at the other side it's an important bargaining tool on your side, even a 23 needs a discount due to it being late in the model year outside of other considerations, a 22 has nearly 2 years depreciation on it now, you need a massive price cut on that to come up par at trade.
If you're leasing you still want to negotiate, it's that time of the year, 23s aren't new anymore in the car buying world and 22s are practically ready for the junkyard.

Also know 2022s had a lot more shortages and production issues. So there might be more missing features/options.
