Possibile to track the production and delivery of your car?
Hello All, I am new here as I have been driving one BMW after another for 20 years now... I have decided to switch over and put in an order for an S580 about 4 months ago... I am wondering if MB has a way to track the production and delivery of your car.... I seem to have no luck with the MB website about this issue... Thank you.

Nope. The only way to track it is to keep bugging your sales person for an update. They can see in Netstar what stage your car is. Once it's assigned to a vessel then you can track the vessel through any of the marine traffic tracking sites. Just keep in mind the the free versions only allow tracking via the terrestrial systems, so once the vessel is too far from shore you won't see its position until it comes close to shore on the other side. You can subscribe to the paid versions, which allow tracking via satellite.

Your dealer may keep you fully up to date, or he may not, seems to be uneven in how well they keep their customers informed. Be sure and give him a thanks if you hit him up over there.
