Moonlight White is a BIG improvement over Diamond White
But I am a huge fan of "pearl white" (vs plain white), especially down here in sunny and hot south Florida.
I test drove a '23 S580 in white and you're right, that new white is much brighter and prettier.
I think that one is all you! 😁

White looks so good on the W223. I always liked pearl white in general on most sedans, and this diamond white looks great too. If I get a W223, I wouldn't mind white at all, but would avoid the dark/black colors all the time (W223 doesn't look as good as W222/W221 in dark colors).

Left is the straight white like Streamliner's SL, right is diamond white like my S560. The new Moonlight white is much closer to the straight white just with a nice pearl, its not cream-ish at all like diamond white.

In many lighting situations the diamond white looks awesome, its just in shady situations on cloudy days etc it looks very cream-y.
Like in this picture of my car the diamond white looks great:

Always interesting to see how people react to these small changes in shade.

I didn't know they had changed it in any event. Cant say what I would make of the old shade, I'd have to see it.

Pearl whites that I love:
BMW Mineral White:

Lexus eminent white pearl:

This new Moonlight White is more similar to these, a pearl white but without any yellow in it.

I wish the W223 had some better matte open pore wood options. The dark one without the metal lines really looks cheap, IMO. I love the trim with the vertical metal lines but its really expensive, and doesn't look right in any interior but the beige IMO. MB had beautiful open grain matte trims in other models, but for some reason not in the W223. I likely would wind up back with black and the standard glossy poplar trim.
I do like this interior:

I went and drove a GLS580 the other day (which I really liked) and sat again in a 223, and the cheapness of a lot of the build always just surprises me so much...every time I spend more time with one I come away with more cheap stuff I've found.

I walked up to my diamond white car yesterday, it was cloudy and I actually went "yuck", the car was eggnog colored.
