Does anyone know how to turn off access protection (fingerprint reader)? I would rather not have to give provide my fingerprint each time I turn on the car to get my settings restored. I am the only one that drives the car so its just an extra step that I rather avoid if possible.

I don't believe you can disable the feature - but if you setup facial recognition for your profile, then the car will recognize you when you get in and sit down.

This video is very good:
Even though it's for setting up an EQS, I found most of it to be very useful for setting up my EQE, which is largely the same in MBUX.
The access portion of the video starts at the 6:00 mark.

You can definitely turn it off. It will still let you select profiles by fingerprint it just won't require its use
