Pricing on new 2024 S580e

Hi, I am looking at getting into a new 2024 S580e. Any idea on what incentive the dealers are offering? Would it make sense to wait a bit for Oct-Dec timeframe? I'm in the Washington DC area.

S580e right now has $7,500 in lease bonus cash, no purchase incentives. If you have an AMEX card you can get an additional $500 off.

I am also looking to purchase an S580 or S580e - the dealers are offering almost no discounts or negotiating at all. It doesn't make sense to me with the 2025s coming out soon (and some of our local dealers have 20-30 24 S classes still on the lot. I would think they would start offering some deals/incentives or would be more willing to negotiate? If not, who would buy a 24 when you can wait and get the 25s. Has anyone had any luck in negotiating with dealers? Given the market, the crazy interest rates, the large inventory at some dealers, I thought it would be more of a buyer's market.

What area are you in? I'm in the DC area but, in Florida for example I've seen 12-13K off, for example. https://www.mercedesbenzfortlauderda...0580e%204MATIC

Just be patient, keep making low offers - someone will break down to move some iron.

That's what I think too, eventually. It's been an eye opener. Haven't bought a car since 2019 and the attitudes are very different. I made an offer on one that was fair I thought and the sales guy and his manager both were aggressive and offensive: "sounds like your budget is more suited for a used car" and "we're already losing money and you aren't dealing in reality." This dealership also has limited inventory on the lot but a satellite lot (fenced in gravel parking lot) with about 200 cars sitting on it. Seems like a lot of smoke and mirrors to create some false supply/demand issue.

Buying a car nowadays is painful. I had dealers offering me $3k off a leftover 2023 and expecting me to think that was a good deal.

I know..and with crazy interest rates, an election year, etc., how are they selling cars with this attitude and lack of willingness to negotiate?

Just red an article the other day, apparently new cars sale is very low, so, probably they're only looking for customers willing to pay a high price....
I hope one day the cars will be sold like the Tesla ones, no sale guy, everything made on line, you pay what you want and even the delivery doesn't involve meeting with somebody...

Stick with it, ultimately like I said I got $20k off my S580 and $3k more than anybody for my trade, which I think was fair...
