Facelift question
Hey guys I need some help from the experts. I’m in the market for an amg s63e. I have a fear. When the facelift for the Sclass comes in a couple years will the facelift be applied to the s63e as well?

Albeit with a possible small delay, facelifts apply to all models so, yes, the S63 will get external and internal updates. Given the late intro there is a chance that the facelift will occur with a year on that car.

thank you for that. Do we think facelift is coming in 26 or 27. My theory is for the amg it will be delayed because people are just starting to get their hands on one.

This is for the regular W223, the W223 S 63 E Performance might then be coming as a late 2027 model year (if what is mentioned is true) or even a 2028.

The facelift models will all appear at the same time, including the S63. The delay with the initial rollout were due to the implementation and improvement of the e-performance system. That is settled.
I also highly doubt that the facelift will come as late as suggested here. Given the state of pre-prod models being tested, there is a zero chance of that.
I expect the facelift to be out next year…

I don’t believe this will be the case. With the W221 and W222 facelifts, the AMG variants were available almost immediately after the regular models, as in only a few months later (at least on release, perhaps no gap on production), so I doubt a delay like that would occur here. However, the AMG variants have typically been delayed roughly a (model or calandra) year whenever the new generation S-Klasse enters production (in the W223 case, it was more like two years).
As you already know, the roll out of the pre-facelift S 63 E Performance took a while and the release was delayed many times in USA, so there is always that possibility.

YTD in 2024 the 7 Series is outselling the S Class which never happens, MB isn't going to wait 2 more years to launch the refresh.

I am hearing/reading of 2 possible scenarios: a) summer of 2025, b) summer of 2026 with bigger changes due to slow sales.
In both cases, S63 will be coming at the same time, waiting for one as well with MBOS as I want to play with latest AI stuff

The cars are running around now and they are really complete, because the light housings are the new ones vs using the old ones in a mule. I don't think they're going to turn around and scrap the refresh they have already completed.

I agree. I find it hard to believe they’re going to scrap and start over despite some criticisms of the current generation. Any refresh part changes takes a lot of time to design, test, finalize and then actually go into production. I think over 97% of the changes are set in stone.

These cars are just too expensive IMO, and lease support has been very poor until the last 2-3 months. The only reason I got one is that the support finally kicked in to where I got a deal that I consider to be fair, $366 more a month than I was paying for my S560. No way I would have paid the $700-$1,000 a month more that the lease payments would have been 3+ months ago.

I have never leased a car. I did buy a SAAB convertible on time payments at 0%.
If I ever do make a decision on another S Class, I'm going to sure think about a lease.

Think the whole purpose of these crazy prices is to get folks to lease, payments for a lifetime. I'd not just MB. Pickups are over 100k, get a Caddy Escalade V for 150k, Navigator or Denali SUV for 110-120k. These are top end things, but even "cheap" cars are expensive so payments for life. I've never leased but it's getting crazy.
I have no interest in owning a crazy depreciating S Class lol, bring on the set tax deductible monthly cost.
