Long story but, I am looking for an ASE mechanic to inspect my car. I purchased as a Certified Mercedes Benz that was 18 months in service. 2021S580, I have now owned it for one year and it has been in the shop for over 4 months due to multiple warranty issues. The day after I purchased the check engine light came on and they told me “software issue” . See pictures below when I went to check on it after three weeks without an update. Seems catalytic. Converter over heated and melted wiring harness. The I final got it back and had to take it back in for the jerky transmission issues. Still does it. Then light comes on again and a whole different issue. They have done multiple stand still adaptations but they only last about two weeks, then the lights came on again in July and the entire steering column froze, windshield wipers would not turn off, no turn signals and would not go into Park! 7 weeks later, they final got the part to repair. 7 days later light is on again! Now it’s the Pressure Booster Transponder. They sre hoping it will be replaced in the next 10 days. Car has 29,500 miles. Therefore, I have hired an attorney to go after MB for some kind of compensation and he has asked me to get it inspected by an ASE mechanic. If anyone knows one in Houston I would appreciate the info.

i'm not sure what an ASE mechanic would do that a certified Mercedes-Benz technician wouldn't, besides I bet you there is at least one at that dealership service department... seems unnecessary.

I hope you can lemon law it soon and get a W223 with no more issues.
It does not qualify under the Lemon Law but does under breach of warranty. This is why I need an outside inspector to inspect the car. We have filed a suit against MB. It has been a nightmare. They currently still have the car.
