Any info on S Class coupe

I've read the new Mythos line is to have an S Class coupe for both regular MB and for Maybach lines. Any one (Wolfman?) have any further info on this.

That looks terrible. About as sporty as a bucket.

The real thing will look better.

Image looked like a not very good rendering.

219 coupe pillarless design is for the ages. Hopefully this element shows up on the next gen.

No more MB:(
So do we know if this will be Mythos/Maybach only or will there be an AMG variant? We need the big coupe back.

That render of a Maybach coupe is not to my taste. The last S coupe was/is a stunning car by comparison.

Ya I don't see why would they get rid of the b pillar less design, the CLE lost it because it is not a real E coupe, if there was still an E coupe it might have it as well, the S should still keep it.

We'll see for sure, I am kind of happy that they are bringing an S coupe back either way.

That's exciting!!!
Can someone confirm how legitimate these rumors are though?
The rear seats in the W222 coupe were spacious and good enough for me. If the W223 will offer similar rear seat leg room; this can be an awesome car!

The only true/credible thing is the "trademark filled" thing... the rest is just fan renders and like you mentioned, rumours.

I've had two new C217 S coupes, if MB made another and it was a nice evolution, I'd buy it.

I feel that currently, MB cannot walk & chew gum at the same time. They have such a massive mess on their hands with MBUSA buying back cars at staggering rates. They can’t even get their new SL to operate properly, not to mention at least three model years of the W223. I hope they pull out all the stops on the face lift W223 & R232 cars and that they can start repairing their image, but I’m not holding my breath.

I was hoping to replace my 2020 S560 sedan with the refreshed W223. It looks like I might have to hold onto my 2020 S560 Sedan a little longer than expected. (Until the W224 comes out?) I really hope not.

I'm not too optimistic, my sense is if there will be one it will be some 300K plus Maybach or Mythos version. If they introduced a regular S or AMG that commensurates with current pricing I'd probably be into it.

The only large coupe I’ve owned, was a 1987 560SEC. Dealing with the massive door was a lot easier for me, almost 40 years ago. Today, trying to deal with doors like that, in cramped parking lots is simply way too much trouble for virtually no benefit over a big sedan, other than exclusivity & asthetics, which mean virtually nothing to me.

I sold my SEC after about a year, as I wanted to experience the new 1988 BMW 750il, which was a 12-cylinder sedan. I’ve never returned to a big coupe and have never missed them. The sedans, in my experience, are just always much more quiet, comfortable and a way better deal than big coupes. And lastly, as a recent convert to electric propulsion (I used to vow “NEVER AN EV,” until I drove the BMW I7) I would probably never consider another ICE vehicle.

I replaced my 2020 S560 with a 2024 S580 and couldn't be more pleased, I don't miss my S560 at all. The W223 is better riding, quieter, more powerful, much better technology. Don't listen to the disgruntled few...the new car really is very good.
