Overhead console removal?
When pressing around the trims, it makes this nasty creaking noises lol.
I'm guessing it's the culprit and wanted to remove it to sound deaden the whole assembly.
Anyone know how to safely remove this dome light/console?
With its flimsy construction, I'm scared I might break a tab or two by just pulling the darn thing.
Searching wasn't useful, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Haha, yeah but when something seems too simple, often times it's not the case.I accidentally broke a tab off of the 3D cluster when removing the whole dash and didn't want to repeat the same mistake.
If it's anything similar to the center speaker assembly, then it should be a simple, firm tug that'll undo the metal clips holding the unit in place.
But when looking at the pictures of the used overhead consoles sold on ebay, it appears to have some kind of swing(?) + pivoting mechanism at the end closer to the windshield.
I'm trying to find out if there's something else involved in removing this part.
I'll let y'all know when I find out.
Here's a video, kinda weird to remove
