2027 Fully Loaded S Class on the way

I am very excited that I have ordered my new 2027 S class with a production date of the second decade in June. I am not sure if that will move given my exterior and interior color choices, but we will know soon enough.

I don't know if you recall, but I had a fully loaded 7 series that I loved, which I bought in 2023 when I looked at both cars. At that time I had thought that BMW had done a better job. This year, I am really excited about the new S class and looking forward to driving this new car.

Here is my build, nothing left off.

Lovin is back!!

Still love your "old" S Class ride you had that was a black color and dark brown interior (when you lived in San Francisco--think you moved to Texas?) that was a "custom" build before the days of Manufactur. I noticed you did not have the 1st class airline style tables in the rear like you did in the old ride. As I looked at the early Dealer Order Guide it did not appear that it was available. My last three S classes had those tray tables of which my '25 S63 E Performance had them but MBUSA just did a lemon law buyback on that one. Waiting for the '27 S63 AMG to come out and plan to order that but hopefully with the tray tables in rear.

Nice build!!

I really like where the S is going exterior wise, but you spent all that money for that interior? Lol.

Hi MTrauman, great to hear from you. Hope things have been well.

From what I understand, it may be possible that the S63 may not come until next year. Hope that doesn't present a problem if it's true. I am also trying to find out if the lack of the 4 seats is a timing issue, or if that is a policy change to only be offered on the Maybach. I will report back if I can find out.

In any event, it was great to connect once again with you and hope you have been well.

Yes, I understand. My wife drives the MAYBACH Electric SUV EQS680 and that interior is absolutely gorgeous. I love the hyperscreen in the EQS, so I am very happy to see that on the new S class. With the options I chose, which was basically all of them, it will give me the same interior as my wife's car. Of course it won't be like a MAYBACH and give me the larger wheelbase, the 2 seats and console in the back, but other than that and possibly the engine and badging, it should at least look like the same car on the inside.

I know they charge a lot for the interiors, but once I saw my wife's MAYBACH, I wanted the same interior. Every surface is leather, there is no plastic anywhere, which is very nice.

I have another thread on delays. I"d be interested to know if your production date gets delayed. When I called my local MB dealer to order, they said they had one allocation for May 4 build.
I rushed in to order. But literally 24 hours later they said MBUSA sent an email saying my new production date in July 29 - 12 weeks delay without any explanation.

Do you have either an interior color or exterior that is not a standard color and required them to call MBUSA to add to your build because those are being handled like PA1’s and that could certainly be the reason.

Congrats on the new car - lovin' the Green color both inside and out. I have the same wood trim in my 2023 - I get a lot of compliments on it.

I know it will seem like forever for you to get your car, but hopefully when you pick it up, it'll be worth the wait.

I believe Rear Wheel Steer is standard on all models for 27 at 4.5 degrees with an upgrade to 10 available.

Def not the interior, I picked plane Beige - the free one.

The exterior on the other hand - brand new color VERDE SILVER MAGNO. Maybe.
Back in the day, yes all these colors would go thru PA1, but now all those "custom" colors are the selling point for MB to say "there are hundreds of color options"
cheers
Oh... also, they arent charging that PA1 custom order fee.

When you get the AMG package, the tires go from 255 on all 4 wheels to 255 in the fronts and 285 in the rears. The 285 in the rears do not allow for the wheel to be able to turn the 10 degrees, so if you get the AMG package, that option is not available.

The Verde Silver Magno is a MANUFAKTUR paint but not a MANUFAKTUR Exclusive paint so there should not be any delays from that. The delays come when you get into the MANUFAKTUR Exclusive paints. Your color combo won't go through the PA1 department which is a good thing.

No they are not charging the PA1 fee but rather charge about double the PA1 fee if you want Manufactur paint and interior.

PA1 may have been around $10k maybe a little less and you could custom many many things whereas today it is more individual so you you can pay $10,500 for Maufactur interior AND $9,500 for Manufactur exterior paint. I seem to remember on one of Lovin's custom interiors he had a special order steering wheel with the PA1 cost. Also remember he had some issues with the installation of that special order steering wheel. The things I remember and I can't remember what I had for lunch!

You can still get the 4.5 degree RWS with the AMG package. The 10 degrees is limited to 20" wheels

Congrats!!!! What an AWESOME build! I firmly believe that these luxury sedans should only be experienced fully loaded, just like that! Good luck while waiting for “decades” now

Unfortunately this says no, unless they change their minds. It’s available globally, just not in the US, which I will never understand.

I suspect this will sticker at around 185-190k? That's Maybach territory. Very nice.
