S55 AMG owners (or MB AMG experts) help me out.
I won't take too much of your time 
Recently, a friend's friend bought an S350 rebadged as S55 AMG.
Here are the pics that my friend took with his phone:
I would like to know what else an S55 AMG has that and S350 doesn't (interior and exterior features).
Any thoughts and comments would be appreciated.

Why did your friend feel the need to rebadge it? It's like having ***** envy and stuffing your pants with a sock...
If he wants to re-sell it as a AMG model, then he is an ***...If he isn't trying to sell it, then I apologize for calling him an ***...I just feel sorry for him if he feels the need to make into something it isn't. The car is beautiful, though.

From what I can see on the pics,
That car only as 2 exhausts, 55 has 4 (2003 onwards).
That doesn't have the amg front, rear bumpers and sideskirts
No AMG brake system
No comand system
wooden steering wheel
wooden gear knob
no 200mph readout
no amg logo on the rev counter
no cooling systems visible from the front that the 55 has and the 350 doesn't
Also the fact that he has taken a prefacelift W220 and has fitted facelift lights, yet still keeps the dual exhausts that would have been present on the prefaclift s55.
Also that can't be a S350 since it was only released after the facelift model iirc?

Maybe his buddy simply didn't do his homework and bought this as a S55 and is simply looking for other tell-tale signs he should have noticed. If that is the case, then I think I can speak for the board in saying that "we are sorry your buddy was taken advantage of" and hope that he can get his funds back due to the obvious fraud. If he is simply trying to make it look EVEN more like an authentic S55 then HE IS SCUM OF THE EARTH and deserves what he gets. By the way, there is one TRUE way to identify the car as an authentic S55 without having to see the car in person.... just check out the VIN #.

if u cant afford a W220 with command u need to not even bother faking the funk.
and if you want to fake it... put the freaking amg badge in the right spot. that thing is at least 2 inches to high.
tips look fake, car looks like carp , and i still cant imagine a W220 without command -- i know it exists but i though anyone with the $$ to get one checked that option box
put S350 back on the rear.

Hmm, that's a pre-facelift S-Class. Looks like they only bothered switching out the headlights and taillights to give it the newer facelifted look. Doesn't that mean it's a S320 instead of a S350?

But just putting another angle on this thing is... how much is a S350 over there costs?
Just imagine, in other parts of Asia, say Singapore, a S350 will cost you about S$350,000 , more than US$210,000.
What can that buy you here? S65 + many mods, or 'almost' 2 S55.
I have a good feeling that it will about the same, or 'near' the price of a S55 in USA. This is of course, assuming that this is bought at the official benz dealer with the import taxes fully paid.
If its smuggled in, then its another story.

If you want to "update" your car, and you don't like the fact that its a lower model, and don't want others to know it, then strip the badge. Don't put on something it is not. To anyone that knows the car, the owner of this car just comes off as a complete moron.... does he like looking like a moron? because that is all he is going to look like to anyone knowledgable. Tell him to debadge the whole thing. Its better to not tell the truth than to lie.
