Got an S65
S65 instruments 0-125mph damp surface Clip
Whereas with the S55 (493bhp) you can just push firmly and it'll give it's best consistantly, the S65 (612bhp) must need a more subtle approach , but given that was the first clumsy attempt I think I should be able to shave a few 10ths of the 0-60 and get the 0-100 below 9, the 0-125 is already impressive and it's still pulling amazingly quickly . Have to say though the V8 does play a slightly better tune.

One thing though the new car does not have is an AMG speedo , is this normal for a 65 ? Has anybody seen the speedos ? The S55 had a lovely 200mph one with AMG logo and kompressor v8 on , the S65 has come with a normal S class one ? (something fishy ?) Have phoned the dealers they investigating with MB.
The 65s have uprated brakes, suspension and steering. In the few short hard drives I've had I've noticed the steering is a fraction better and despite the extra weight it's a tiny bit more compsed in fast corners, but I need to spend more time driving it to really review it in comparison.
Nice car.... what country are you in?
Yes that is weird that your speedo does not say V12 TT. AMG. They all say that. You may have been ripped off and got a fake car. I will give you $25K now and take it off your hands... :p
If you want a better tune drop an Eisenmann exhaust in, they sound awesome!
I would think those would be standard on the S65...Yeah you definitely got gyped on the Speedo..Otherwise congrats on beautiful ride Trending Topics
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Its true what they say....the S-Class's customer loyalty is unrivalled.
It does have front and rear parktronic.
I too thought the rear climate was std in europe, but no, was surprised the car didn't have it. Bit cheap really on a car which retailed at £142,750 ($210k)
Not having it here in the Uk isn't a problem and in the S55 which did have it people never adjusted it in the rear and with summer temps of only 25c (77f) it doesn't need it, i'ts nice to have though.
Just need the weather to improve for more testing
