2002 Mercedes S55 AMG!

I have a 2002 Brilliant Silver with Charcoal interior S55 AMG with 53k miles. The car is in MINT / AS NEW condition and is FULLY loaded! Check out the complete list of options and detailed pictures on my website.. http://jhunix.hcf.jhu.edu/~daw/AMG.html
(The pics were from the dealer I just bought the car from) I'm located in Baltimore, MD 21236 and have just lowered my asking price to $49,900 or best offer. This car cost over $120k new! It has just been MD State inspected and has been serviced at the dealer since it was bought. Have all papers, manuals and keys! Let me know if you may be interested or have other questions!

Thanks for your time and consideration.. again the price IS negotiable!

Nice looking car but why are you selling a car you "just" bought for less than wholesale? Has it been wrecked or is there some other problem with it? Is it an '01 instead of an '02?

There no AMG badges on the seats or anything. I thought the 02s had that..

They DO. Plus they also have the //AMG on the dash as well (see the odometer pics - the AMG emblem is not there). The seats are wrong as well. Pulse was not an option on the "MultiContour" Seats of that year. This looks like someone trying to falsely pawn off an S500 as an //AMG. Maybe Dawson needs to get back on here with the car's VIN #. Something VERY fishy here...

Your right about the AMG being on the Tach. I just did not see it in the picks the first time. I think I may better understand the reduced pricing as well. All the '03 AMG55's had compressors (except the CLK) and therefore the pricing on nearly all '02's (E's. CL & SL's) appears to be dropping like a rock. Having said that, it makes this particular car less desireable to many...

I don't think you will have ANY action form this forum until you answer one basic question.... WHY ARE YOU SELLING A CAR YOU JUST BOUGHT?

Why am I selling?? Several reasons...

First of all, I bit off more than I could chew on this car. It's more car than I really needed. Secondly, I want something I can better afford.. I'm looking at buying the girlfriend an engagement ring soon and afterwards, we'll be looking for a new house together, etc. A Mercedes S55 really doesn't fit the bill with that. Not that I'm getting a mini van or anything..

Anyway.. that's the story.. no big deal..

If anyone is now interested.. I'm all ears.. heh.

Sorry to see you go. Hopefully you'll still be a member of the MB family. The best of luck to you and the "soon to be" wife.
